Chapter 6: Wedding Plans

Zarah's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Before getting up, I stretched my body. This is what I do before getting out of bed.

After stretching, I got up on the bed, washed my face, and went to the kitchen to cook breakfast for Yohan and me. While I was cooking breakfast, I heard footsteps. I think Yohan is awake.

"You cooked breakfast already." I was startled because Yohan was now behind me.

"Good morning, Yohan. Take a seat. Breakfast is ready in a bit," I said.

"Ok," Yohan said, taking a seat.

After a few minutes, breakfast is served. I put it on our plates, and then I made coffee.

"Here you go. Let's eat," I said, and we ate breakfast quietly together.

After breakfast, Yohan volunteered to wash the dishes, so I went to my room to bathe and get ready for work.

While I was putting on my sandals, a knock was heard.

"Come in," I said.

"I will leave first," Yohan said.

He was about to leave, but I noticed that his necktie was quite loose.

Wait, Yohan," I called him.

"What?" He said with a questionable look.

I went near him, and I tied his necktie tightly. I am not looking at him because I'm busy with his necktie, but I know he is looking at me.

"There. Done"

"Thank you. I find it hard to tie my necktie tightly. Anyway, I should get going now." Yohan went out of the room and left for work.

"Oh. How about you?" Yohan went back to ask me that.

"I will just ride a taxi." Yeah. I will take a taxi because Yohan's office is far from his house,"

"Ok. See you later."

Yohan left the house, and I am now all alone. You know that we can't go together because some of the people in the company might suspect us if they see us together, but I wanted to go to the company with Yohan. It's not going to happen.

When I was about to leave the house, I went to the back. I opened the door, and it was a garden. It's so beautiful because there are lots of flowers and plants.

After observing the garden, I left the house and waited for a taxi to pass. The thought of riding a taxi made me nervous. I am not used to riding cars or buses because I would walk to the company.

A taxi passed by and stopped before me, so I got in.

I touched my neck, and my locket was gone. Maybe it fell into the garden. I will find it later when I arrive.

When I arrived at the company, I went to my desk and sat on the chair.

"Morning, Lara," I greeted.

"Morning too, Zarah," Lara greeted back.

I started doing my work.

(Hours later)

I was busy working when Yohan's secretary called me.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Mr. Lewis called you." It was the first time Yohan called me to his office.

"Ok. I'll be there," I told Yohan's secretary.

I went to Yohan's office and knocked on the door.

When I entered the office, a woman was sitting there. Who could she be?

"Zarah, meet Marie, our wedding planner." I was shocked. Were we going to discuss this now?

Hi," Marie greeted me, and I greeted her back.

"So, let's start with the theme and motif. What kind of theme and motif do you like?" Marie looked at me and Yohan, and Yohan and I looked at each other.

"I want a garden wedding with baby blue as the motif," I told Yohan.

"Yeah, I agree with you." I'm glad Yohan agreed.

"So?" Marie is waiting for our final decision.

"We want a garden wedding with baby blue as the motif," Yohan told Marie.

"Ok. Now, let's move on to other preparations."

We discussed some of the wedding plans, which were done after a few minutes.

"Ok. We will prepare this next week—best wishes for your upcoming wedding. I will take my leave now," Marie said. Yohan and I thanked her, and I accompanied her outside.

Yohan's POV

I was awakened by a delicious smell this morning, so I went to the kitchen. I found out that Zarah is cooking breakfast. When I tasted her cooking, it was so delicious. After eating, I volunteered to wash the dishes.

When I was about to leave the house, I went to Zarah's room to inform her that I would go, but Zarah called me. She approached me, grabbed my necktie, and tied it tightly. I find it hard to tie my necktie tightly.

I looked at her, and my heart beat fast.

While I was busy doing my work at my office, someone knocked on the door, and it was the wedding planner. The wedding planner's name is Marie, and she asked Zarah and me about our plans for the wedding. And I'm glad Zarah and I have the same tastes.

It's already 8 in the evening. I overlooked the time. I better go home now.

When I get out of the office, there are no employees already. Maybe Zarah has gone home already. She has a spare key to the house anyway.

When I arrive home, I smell something delicious. I went to the kitchen, and dinner was served, but where is Zarah? I went to find her, and she was not anywhere. Maybe she is in the garden. And I was right because Zarah was there, looking and searching for something.

"What are you searching for over there, Zarah?" I asked Zarah.

"Oh, Yohan. You're here already. I am looking for my locket necklace. I think I dropped it here this morning while roaming around here. It's essential to me because it has a photo of my parents," Zarah said with a worried look.

"I will also help find it."

After a few minutes of searching, I found it.

"Is this your locket necklace?" I lift the necklace so that Zarah can see it.

"Yes! Thank you so much!" Zarah approached me and was very happy. Zarah has a beautiful smile.

"You're welcome."

"Oh, you've got dirt on your face." Zarah wiped the dirt off my face with her hand. I looked at her, and my heart was beating like crazy again.

"There. All clean. Oh, I made dinner already. Let's eat?" Zarah said.

"Ok. I will change first."

Matthew's POV

Sarah and I are walking down the street. I accompanied her to Zarah's house.

By the way, my name is Matthew Stewart. I'm 25 years old and a registered nurse. Sarah and I have the same personality; we work as nurses in the same hospital and have been best friends for 15 years.

I am in love with Sarah. I am in love with my best friend.

"Ah, Sarah?" I stopped walking.

"What is it, Matthew?" Sarah asked.

"Ah, nothing."

"Ok"

I can't do this today. It is not great to confess to Sarah.

I've wanted to confess to Sarah since high school, but I'm afraid to ruin our friendship.
