Zarah's POV
It's Saturday morning.
I woke up because of the sun shining on my eyes. I looked at the time on my phone; it was now 8 in the morning. I got up and opened the balcony to see the beautiful view of the place. I looked at the garden, and it's lovely. Thinking about Yohan and I's wedding later in that garden makes me very excited yet sad because even though our marriage is real, we will divorce after a year.
I look at my wedding gown, which is displayed near the balcony. I am very excited to wear this gown later. The wedding will start at 11 in the morning and end at 11:45.
I am now getting hungry, so I ordered breakfast in bed.
After breakfast, I bathed because Sarah would be here to help me with my hair and makeup.
When I was done taking a bath, a knock was heard. I opened the door, and it was Sarah.
"Good morning. Did you have a good sleep?" Sarah asked.
"Good morning, Sarah. I did get a good sleep last night," I answered.
"That's good. It's now 9, so let's start doing your makeup." Sarah did my makeup.
When she was done with my makeup, she styled my hair. After almost an hour, it's done. Sarah helped me put on my wedding gown.
"You look gorgeous, Zarah. My bestie is getting married. I'm getting emotional," Sarah said while wiping her tears.
"Don't cry, Sarah." I approached her and hugged her.
"I can't help it, you know. Glad I'm not wearing makeup yet. Just sit and relax there, and I will do my makeup."
It's almost 11, and a knock is heard.
Sarah opened the door.
"Excuse me. The wedding will start in a few minutes. You need to go down now," A man said.
"Let's go, Zarah. Let me help you with your gown. I am your maid of honor, so I shall accompany you," Sarah said, and she accompanied me downstairs.
I am getting nervous.
By the way, Yohan and I arrived at the venue separately. I arrived first at the venue, which is the enchanted garden. I didn't see Yohan yesterday because it's part of the tradition not to see each other a day before the wedding.
I am now at the venue. I saw Grandma Matthew, and I think he is Yohan's close friend. I looked before me, and Yohan stood there, waiting for me to come to him. He is looking as handsome as ever. I can't believe I'm marrying Yohan; even though this marriage is contractual, the wedding is real. I hope Yohan feels the same as me, but I know it's just one-sided love. I hope Yohan will learn to love me because I liked Yohan the first time I saw him when he saved me from the burglar, and now I can say that I already love him. It's not hard to fall in love with Yohan.
When the music started to play, I sauntered to Yohan. I felt nervous but still managed to smile.
I wish my parents were here to witness my wedding. Dad would be here by my side if they were alive, guiding me to where Yohan is. But I know they are watching me from above.
Yohan's POV
When Zarah arrived at the venue, I averted my eyes from her. Even though she is wearing a veil, she looks gorgeous, and I can see her face.
The music started to play, and Zarah began to walk down the aisle. My heart is beating so fast again because of nervousness and how gorgeous Zarah is.
Zarah was now beside me. I offered my hand, and she held it. We looked at each other, face in front.
Narrator's POV
"In the name of God, son, and holy spirit, we come together to witness the marriage of Yohan and Zarah," The priest said.
And it's time for their I-dos.
"Yohan, will you take Zarah as your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked Yohan.
"I do," Yohan answered.
"Zarah, will you take Yohan as your lawfully wedded husband?" The priest asked Zarah.
"I do," Zarah answered.
"You may now put the rings on your ring fingers," The priest said, and Yohan and Zarah put the ring on their finger.
"You may now kiss the bride."
Yohan lifted Zarah's veil, and they shared a kiss. It lasted for 5 seconds.
All the people clapped their hands.
After the wedding, they took lots of photos. After taking many pictures, they all went to a restaurant in the enchanted garden for the reception.
Yohan and Zarah returned to their rooms and changed their wedding outfits to casual attire. All the guests cheered for the newlyweds when they arrived at the reception.
At the reception, they all had a lot of fun.
"I'm so happy that both of you are now married," Grandma approached Yohan and Zarah. When Grandma Aubrey said that, both Yohan and Zarah looked at each other and smiled at Grandma Aubrey.
After the reception, they all bid farewell to the newlywed couple.
"I will take my leave first," Grandma Aubrey said, leaving with her driver.
"I will also take my leave. Your wife is such a beauty, Yohan. Take care of each other," Yohan's friend said.
"We would also take our leave. Congratulations on your wedding. Take care of Zarah, Yohan. Don't make Zarah cry." Sarah threatened Yohan.
"I will keep that in mind," Yohan said to Sarah.
"Ok," Sarah said, and she left the place with Matthew.
All of the guests left the venue, leaving Yohan and Zarah.
"Let's go back to our room and pack our things so we can leave." Yohan looked at Zarah.
"Can we stay for a little longer? I want to roam around the place and take pictures," Zarah said to Yohan with a pleading look.
"Ok. Let's roam around the place and take pictures," Yohan agreed to Zarah.
"Yehey! Oh, please snap a photo of me there!"
