the twins nodded, and they suddenly asked something.
" Uhm..Your Majesty? What kind of tragedy struck Calsithea?" The twins asked at the King looked at the both of them before nodding his head.
"The Tragedy. 100 years ago as I told you the Goddess was unable to speak. The creatures were born from unquenchable desire and hatred for the Goddess. The followers I mentioned that they all left is because they all slowly turned into monsters you wouldn't want to meet.
They all turned into flesh eating monsters that destroys and eat any humans they see. Your continent is only safe because of the protection of the God of Time and Space because if he didn't, all humans will be wiped out and none will survive as strong beings began to awaken and the Empire 100 years before hasn't established a connection with the Grand Tower and I doubt that the Grand Magician before would work with anyone." He said with certainty.
"The Empire is only prosperous because of the alliance with the Tower and the Supreme Councilor, the one who holds more power than the Emperor himself." The eyes of the twins twinkled as they are in awe of the story they just heard, the Supreme Councilor sounds very powerful, but they both thought that it was impossible to meet him. The King noticing that the both of them frown amused him.
"My my...It seems like these children are much more interested in the Supreme Councilor than the Wind Spirit King in front of them." He said as the twins both shake their tiny heads. The King laughed because of the innocent honesty. He stopped laughing as he looked at the gate. It seems like his contractor is already on his way over.
"Your beloved teacher is finally done organizing his workload." King Aelfdene sighed as Noah passed through, though he looked rather drained as he walked and sat besides Vincent.
"It seems like another workload for you has arrived." Noah looked at him and gave a tired smile.
"Just why can't they function without relying on you too much. It's not like the whole society will fall if you don't work. You already cancelled your work for 2 months, can't they give my student a time to relax." He grumbled as Noah laughed, Vincent was just quietly sitting and looking at Noah.
"What work arrived Iris?" Vincent asked as Noah turned his head to face him, Noah's face immediately turned sour as he leaned back on the sofa.
"It was a report about the border of the Empire and the Kingdom of Ralnce in the continent of Calsithea. As you know, the Empire is in the continent of Plietta and both of them haven't had any interactions with each other, even trade with each other hasn't been established." He said while holding his head, annoyance evident in his tone.
"The report I received is about a group of several knights of Viscount Wrolent were killed in cold blood. The one who killed all 20 knights are unknown as none of them survived, the worse part is that everyone of them had their limbs in pieces, like they were played first before getting devoured. The report said that a similar case already happened a year before in the border and they didn't report anything to me as they thought it was insignificant." King Aelfdene listened, he knew of the incident but he seemed to have focused more on Calsithea as a whole than as Calsithea the border of Plietta.
"They made the wrong choice and only reported when the Knights were killed, they didn't report the case of travelers and residents that were killed a year ago. If the Duchess haven't stopped me, I could have gone and wrecked havoc of the place, now that something happened to the knights they now dare ask my help? How would they feel if I said NO would they feel guilt because that's exactly what happened to the forgotten victims earlier." Noah said as he sighed, he was frustrated and angry. If only they reported everything in every detail they wouldn't have lost many lives. And of course he was angry with the people he left in work.
"Countless lives were lost, three villages were destroyed but they didn't dare report that? But when someone who has a title and their knights were killed they ask for help? Are the lives of those villagers so insignificant that they were not reported?" He said to himself, his anger only grew when he found out that they covered it and that he visited those villages a year ago.
"The villagers were humble and treated me kindly on the days I spent with them. Only for me to find out that they were killed in cold blood." He couldn't accept it. The twins were worried but decided to hug Noah as a way of consoling him, Noah accepted it gratefully.
"I feel like someone is pulling the strings again in the tower. Didn't they already learned there lesson last time for defying me? Looks like I need to have a rat extermination scheduled." He said as King Aelfdene shakes his head and called for a servant to prepare a calming tea as his student is raging mad. Noah is someone who values life more than anything, and receiving something like that in a report is something loathes and dreaded about. And as he values life, he also values death as a price.
"Now now, calm down child. Drink some tea to relieve yourself. The Duchess Ophelia made the right decision to stop you. If she didn't, I doubt there would be a place called Tower in the continent anymore. She's really impressive." He said as he placed a teacup in front of his student, Noah smiled and received the tea and drank.
"Thank you. This tea is the same as ever, it still baffles my mind how can a tea calm a person like me." He said as he laughed, King Aelfdene laughed as he served a different tea to Vincent and the twins as servants bought some snacks. The twins ate the sandwiches while Vincent ate some cookies.
"Uhm..Noah? We were listening earlier and we both thought that the report was confidential. But we would really like to know why the Tower was always mentioned and why would they report to you." The twins asked as the King covered his mouth and laughed quietly. Noah too realized that he said something confidential. Vincent sighed as he knows that the twins will keep asking if they don't get an answer they want. He finished the cookie in his mouth as he pointed to Noah.
"I supposed that the two of you haven't realized just who your teacher is." He said as the twins eyed him like he said something like a riddle as both of them covered their mouth as they realized. "You wouldn't mean that he's-" Vincent nodded as he gesture to present Noah. Noah laughed as he let out a secret.
"He is Noah Iris Wisteria, The second son of Marquis Wisteria and also the one and only Supreme Councilor of the Grand Tower, Blanche." The Twins stood up as they couldn't believe they were learning magic from someone of his caliber, Noah chuckled awkwardly as he scratch his cheeks. King Aelfdene stopped laughing like it was the most embarrassing situation a teacher could see on his disciple.
"Child, you forgot his other title. That one was hilarious but also a perfect way to describe the so called Supreme Councilor. " Vincent smiled and Noah's face turned into horror. His head shot at his Master, if looks could kill and if you can kill a spirit, King Aelfdene would have been ashes.
"Your Majesty! That title was embarrassing! I would have liked it buried with me in my grave!" He said as Vincent smiled but he flinched a little as Noah mentioned grave and dying.
"Oh come on. It was just a title, rather you were the one responsible for earning that outrageous title. Rampaging in the east who disturbed your sleep." He said as Noah covered his face as they turned red. The twins curiosity peaked as Vincent leaned into Noah's shoulders.
"The Rampaging ruler of the Tower, Blanche the Smiling Angel of Death Or Simply White Death. Others call him Blanche, Lord of White, Smiling Calamity, and Sleeping Ruler." Noah stopped Vincent and clasped his mouth shut with his hands. Noah was bright red as King Aelfdene was laughing hysterically behind Noah. The Twins were also looking at the outrageous sight as they looked at each other and sighed.
"Our teacher, is the Angel of Death. Blanche the Smiling Angel. We don't know how to feel about this." They both said as the hysterical King talked while laughing.
"You both should feel proud. Imagine to wake your teacher up in a wrong time. What would likely happen." They both flinched as they remembered what they did earlier. Vincent smiled as Noah hid his face behind Vincent.
"About that, we already did that earlier. That caused Noah to lose his strawberries earlier." They said as the King laughed again.
"I changed my mind. I'm gonna be your teacher. I would like to see you all torment my genius of a student from time to time." He said as Noah shouted in disapproval. Vincent could care less.
The twins watched the scene, they didn't care anymore and just sat down and drank tea and ate some snacks.
