Reminiscence.

Hehe... Hehehe...

Loud laughter could be heard.

"...old ...im up.

...ill ...beat... his head with the rod, and boom!"

As Reven began to stir from his sleep, he heard voices. It appeared to him that the afternoon goons were here to murder him as he slept.

Knowing that a single mistake would open the door to hell, he forced himself to calm down and closed his eyes.

He took control of his emotions and devised a strategy.

He let the two hold him, while their boss was getting ready to strike him in the head with the rod.

As soon as the boss swung his rod, Reven broke free from the goons' hold and pushed the boy to his left, in front of him.

The rod hit the kid, and a fountain of blood sprang out.

The 4 year old kid died!

"!!!"

Stunned!

Everyone was taken aback. Reven, however, was unfazed because he knew he would have to struggle to survive here.

He pushed the other boy in the direction of Alaksh, tightening his hold on him.

Furious, Alaksh swung his rod once more, only to kill the other guy with a blow to the head.

From behind Reven, the third guy looked blankly at his friends' corpses.

He was clutching the bat that Reven used earlier as he heard, "Don't waste time; kill this motherfu*ker."

This jolted him out of his daze.

With a furious glance in Reven's direction, he unleashed a devastating blow with the bat, but Reven deflected it with his hands.

His left hand's bones were broken by the blow.

His eyes began to well up with tears, but he kept his mouth shut.

Alaksh used this opportunity to strike as well. He pushed his rod towards Reven's head.

Reven realized he was in a deadlock, and if he didn't do anything, then he was dead.

He made up his mind to sacrifice his shoulder to save his life. He leaped to his feet to avoid the hit to his head and pivoted slightly to allow the rod to pass through his right shoulder.

Kachak!

And that's precisely what occurred.

Reven's decision-making and brutality caused Alaksh's eyes to widen.

Urrghhh!

A groan escaped from Reven's mouth as Alaksh pulled the rod back. But he kept his movements clear and quickly moved towards the other goon as he tried to snatch the bat from him.

A struggle for the bat began between the other kid and Reven. Alaksh, in irritation, swung the rod again, but this time he ended up hitting the head of the goon.

He gasped for air, and the other child dropped. At last, Alaksh recognized that he'd been duped.

He angrily spoke. "You shit. You planned this, didn't you? But what will you do now? I am gonna fu*king kill you now."

Reven knew he was dead in a straight fight. He had to plan something like he did in the afternoon, or else he is fu*ked.

Without responding to Alaksh's inquiry, Reven quickly assessed his options and took stock of the situation.

Alaksh swung the rod straight at Reven's face, but he quickly spun around, and the rod only scraped the edge of his right eyebrow, cutting him slightly as blood began to flow from it.

Ignoring it, Reven made his way to the trash can where he slept.

He moved quickly as Alaksh swung his rod again and ended up hitting his right abdomen. Reven's breath almost stopped for a moment, but he still hung on.

As he tried to regain his breath, he flipped the garbage on Alaksh.

Alaksh started to rub his eyes and curse, and a few bits of debris got into his eyes. This allowed Reven time to gather himself before getting ready to move.

As Alaksh got his vision back, he saw Reven swinging the bat at his face. It was too fast for him to dodge, as the bat ended up directly hitting his face.

His vision was lost for a moment from the shock, but Reven didn't give him any chance to attack back as he swung the bat again, this time directly hitting Alaksh's head and sending him straight to oblivion.

Huff! Huff! Huff!

All this happened in a mere instant, but to Reven, it seemed like an eternity had passed.

Reven was an intelligent kid, so he realized that he couldn't go back now. His body was aching, his head hurt, and, more importantly, his heart was in pain.

It dawned on the boy that this was his first murder. It hurt like hell, even though he did it to defend himself. His eyes were filled with tears.

Woo... Woo... Woo...

He woke up from his reverie to the sound of the daily patrolling cars.

He was aware that he needed to leave as soon as possible in order to avoid the army soldiers arriving for their daily rounds of inspection.

With his injuries nearly causing him to lose consciousness, he didn't have much time.

He thanked himself for not letting something hit his legs.

After leaving the crime scene as quickly as he could, he took a few different alleyways and came across a broken-down house that was empty.

He went into the house and sat down in a corner, leaning against the wall for support as he passed out.

-----

It was around 7:30 in the evening.

The kid regained his consciousness only to realize that he was not in the old building where he lost his consciousness.

After a moment of confusion, he became nervous upon realizing that he was sleeping on a bed and glancing around the opulent room.

For a split second, he believed he had died, but he quickly dismissed the idea because he was still experiencing physical pain. He searched for his bat but was unable to locate it.

He examined his body and discovered that he was completely covered in bandages.

Ugh... Urrghhhh!

He groaned as he tried to move his body, but then he heard a voice say, "Don't move, kid; your body is way beyond where it can handle any more pressure."

"Who are you? How long was I out for? And how the hell am I here?" Raven asked, his face showing signs of anxiety.

"I am Colonel Aarav Greh. I am the one who brought you here and treated you. Also, you were out for around three days."

"What do you want from me? And why am I here?"

"Nothing... kiddo. Don't worry; nothing will happen to you. Hell, no one beside me knows about what you did... I brought you here because you were already on the verge of death.

And now, quit asking questions; go relax. Later, we can discuss." The colonel stated as he departed the room.

The colonel emerged from the door, his face serious as he turned to face the chamber as he said to himself, "The World Wars didn't even spare the kids..." And let out a sigh.

He turned back and began to walk as he thought to himself again, "And these motherfu*kers want another one."
