Chapter 80: A Painting within a Painting

Lorne's description was roughly the same as Cindy and Cole's.

The disagreement appeared after the money was split.

"You took all of the oil paintings?"

"Yes."

"Where is 'Snowy Night' by the Impressionist master Schelder Hasen?"

"I don't know, I never saw that painting from beginning to end."

"Lorne, since you've decided to turn yourself in, I hope you can show a good attitude. If you lie to the police, the value of your confession will be greatly diminished."

"I'm not lying. Indeed, I got quite a few oil paintings, but none of them was Schelder Hasen's 'Snowy Night.' Otherwise, I wouldn't just have a few million US Dollars to my name. The money I have now is earned through my own efforts. Of course, that starting capital was indispensable."

Luke stared at him for a while, then continued to ask, "Where are the bodies of Anna and her son Shuayate?"

"I'm not sure, the bodies were handled by Tony and Cindy."

"What was your relationship with Anna?"

"Friends."
