The God of Jesters

The mages were a bit confused. Those who remained awake under the effect of the curse were only a few. Consisting mostly of the faculty, that were only at the adept level. As the Master level held important positions and some even owned their own tower, working under another mage was rare for them.

Even if the person happened to be an Archmage. Making it so, that those that remained awake were mostly at adept level. And didn't even amount to a total of forty. Which was still much higher than the military, which was only able to muster up the strength of twelve adept mages, with one Master mage leading the charge.

But when the Mages, who were hiding inside their protective shield, wondered what was going to happen, they were surprised to find the steaming regiment of Mage-Tech Armor coming towards them. Releasing a steam that they were very familiar with.
