A Hard Battle

The clash of our blades echoed through the entire town as the bones in my arms threatened to break, as the force of the previous sword master, now death knight, struck with enough force to split a boulder cleanly in half.

"UWOOOGH!!"

And just at the exit of the town was the twin-headed troll. It broke through the town gates and charged at me. I'm pinned down in between a death knight and the twin-headed troll.

I used all of my strength to push Zemar out of our blade lock, and I turned around, heading straight toward the twin-headed troll, and sliding underneath it, as Zemar chased after me. After getting behind the zombie twin-headed troll, Zemar closed in on me, but I quickly climbed over on its wide back, then Zemar jumped into the air, to attack me with its great sword, but I used the twin-headed troll as leverage, and jumped over Zemar, dodging his sword, and making him hit the zombie twin-headed troll.

"RAAAGH!!"

The zombie twin-headed troll roared out in pain and swung one of its axes at Zemar, who blocked the attack, but because of the force of the attack, and him being suspended mid-air, flew a few dozen meters away crashing into a nearby building.

"Have fun, you two!!"

I ran off as the two of the hardest beings that I've ever fought were now fighting against each other. From time to time, the earth would shake because of their clash, and buildings would crumble as either of them would crash through the buildings.

Since those two are busy, and the only things left are the mobs, which my flames took care of, quickly burning them and turning them into ash in an instant. The goal on the third floor is to find the exit.

"UWOOOGH!!"

I heard the roars of the ogres in the forest area where I killed all of them. This is place is an infinite EXP generator, even if it's few, it's still a lot of experience, although I would want to finish this dungeon quickly. The main purpose of me going here is to level up.

Though I first need to find where the exit is, then after that, I could go farm freely on this floor. I started exploring the town, as I burnt down the enemies, and it took me 2 hours just to find it. It was the door to the old training grounds of the Alcorian Swordsmanship Academy.

"Now, let's level up, shall we?"

I looked around and saw the Zemar, and the twin-headed troll are still fighting each other. Since they're undead, they don't need stamina anymore, and thus can go on for eternity as they fight.

The zombie ogres crashed through the town walls, far off west to where the two bosses were fighting against each other. I rushed to them and began my massacre.

"Captain Jeanne, do you think the reason there are many guild captains here is that they want to recruit the person who's entered the dungeon of the lich?"

Jeanne, in full plate armor, nodded as she looked around, she recognized a lot of guilds, there the Giant's Hand guild, the Lion's Mane guild, the Mt Hua Sect guild, the Tiamat's Wrath Guild, Tang Clan guild, and many more. Those guilds are in the top 100 and are competitors against each other, though the ones she needs to worry about are the Tang Clan guild, and the Mt Hua Sect guild, since those two guilds are working under the Ying Yang guild, one of the top 3 guilds in the world.

"This person is impressive for finishing the first floor under 30 minutes, and the second in under 4 hours, breaking both records!"

"We must recruit him at all costs."

"If he's that good, then why hasn't he finished the third floor yet?"

"Like all users, probably because he killed a lot of monsters lol."

"Though we have tough competitors."

"He's also competing in the tournament. Should we call him one of the 10 rising stars next to Anri-Chan?"

"Heh, she might be the weakest of the 10 rising stars, but you should know that her growth is outstanding. But it's such a sad thing that she went solo."

Jeanne waited anxiously at the entrance of the dungeon for Clarent as the players surrounding it talked to each other while glaring at their rivals. Though it worried her for the time Clarent is spending inside of the dungeon, it's been 6 hours since he's entered the third floor, yet he hasn't died or advanced yet.

After waiting for another 2 hours, a notification popped up. That the third floor has been cleared and is now approaching the last two floors, in which nobody has ever passed before.

The entire 8 hours I was here; I leveled up 15 times. Although if I were just a normal class, then I would've leveled up 30 times, double what I already have, I have 75 unallocated stat points.

"I'll invest 30 stat points into vitality, 30 into intelligence, and the rest to magic power."

All of my stats are now 200+ if combined with the additional stats that I gained from the achievements and equipment. Now the fourth floor is just a vast dome, with what seems to be blood golems guarding the door to the fifth and final floor. How do I know that this dungeon only had five floors? Well, the developers said so, in the post.

[Pfft, you guys can't even clear a five-floor dungeon!]

That post outraged a lot of players, though the developer who said that bears some truth to his words. Most of the dungeons that have more floors are more difficult, and a five-floor dungeon is something even level 150 players couldn't solo! It's mostly recommended to bring a party for it, though there are some dungeons that have multiple floors, but is easier to conquer.

Well, unlike them, I got lucky with an item, and now I can fill in the rolls of most of the parties out there.

I walked closer to the blood golems, and when I reached a certain point, they started moving. Two golems made of flesh moved and looked at me.

"Come at me!"

Blood golems are high-level enemies, their levels range from 80 to 120, they're easy to fight against, as their speed and damage are low, it's just annoying because of their seemingly infinite health as they keep on regenerating like a troll, but a has a lot of health and defense like a hill giant.

The two blood golems charged at me, with each footstep sounding like they stepped on something icky and fleshy. I activated the [Fiery Wrath of Alcor] and started burning them.

[You've Dealt 18,419 Damage!]

[You've Dealt 18,419 Damage!]

[You've Dealt 18,419 Damage!]

[You've Dealt 18,419 Damage!]

But for me, they're just walking EXP bags. The blue flames seared their flesh and ate away at their rapidly healing body until their cores were revealed. I charged at the first golem, and destroyed its core, while my blue flames melted the other golem's core.

"That was too easy."

Only 3 people could get here. I'm one of them, the other 2 probably lost in a battle of attrition. From what I've heard in the community, the other two were both agility-based classes, but they lacked the vitality to last in a battle of attrition, and if that was true, then I'd be the first player to enter the fifth floor.

The door in front of me was a vast and grandeur door. It was extravagant, and if I were to just take the door and leave the dungeon, and sell it to the highest bidder, I could probably net 10 million gold from this door alone!

I opened the door and entered the last floor of this dungeon.

[You've entered the last floor of Agash's Crypt!]

[Prepare for the ultimate challenge!]

[Kill Agash!]

The last floor looked like a broken-down church, and at the altar stood there was a skeleton in dark blue robes, with a staff in one hand that looked like a face of a cobra, and finally a crystal on its forehead.

"Finally, someone worthy has shown themselves."
