Chapter 16: Mitarashi Compound (1)

"So, wanna tell me what that was about?"

Anko was walking besides me, her arm around my shoulder. Kurenai had left to go pack her stuff, as we had all agreed to try living at our new home; the Mitarashi Compound. Leaning into her, I sighed. We had just left Ichiraku, and Naruto was still downing bowl after bowl of ramen.

"I... I don't know. I feel bad for him. No parents, civilians shun him, and for some reason the shinobi are ignoring him. You would think the clans would be lining up to try and adopt him, either through a sense of obligation to the Fourth or just because it would be the right thing to do. And yet, he's all alone. I know what it's like to be alone, and to be shunned, but not on the level that he faces daily. I can't even begin to understand how he can stay so happy after all of this."

Anko hummed, pulling me closer. We continued to walk towards my apartment.

Eventually reaching it, Anko let her arm drop, before her hand started roaming. Sighing, I unlocked the door, walking in. Before I could even close the door, Anko had pressed me against the wall, her eyes shining with desire. However, before she could lean in for a kiss, I placed my finger to her lips.

"Sorry Anko, but not tonight. I'm exhausted. I'm going to take a shower before passing out."

Anko pouted, guiding my hand down towards her crotch. Her eyes were pleading, but I shook my head. The last few days have finally caught up to me, and I could feel myself swaying on my feet. It's usually like this for me after a long mission; I feel fine outside of the village, but when I return I crash hard.

Untangling myself from her, I started getting ready for my shower. Anko helped me undress, trying to convince me by indirectly touching my weak spots. Glaring at her, she sighed, before undressing and following me into the bathroom. Quickly washing myself, I looked over when I felt her gazing at me. Finishing, I dried off before collapsing in my bed. I could hear Anko moaning in the bathroom, and I fell asleep to the sounds of her pleasuring herself.

Waking up in Anko's embrace, I looked at the clock, sighing in relief when it was still before dawn. Looking at Anko, who was buried in my chest, I could feel her breath on my skin, as well as her morning excitement. Gently kissing her forehead, I quietly got out of bed, making sure to wrap her in the blanket. Grumbling, Anko kept reaching out for something, eventually grabbing a pillow and hugging it closer to herself.

Looking around the room, I started making mental notes on what I can leave in the apartment and what needs to be taken to the Compound. Most of the furniture was already here when I rented the apartment, so it would have to stay. My clothes, gear, and some knickknacks were all that I had to pack, making me feel... odd. Realizing that my worldly possessions consisted of just some plain clothing, blades, ninja tools, and some small possessions, I decided that I wanted to make sure my new home wasn't as empty as this place.

Quickly dressing myself, I placed all my extra gear inside an empty storage scroll. When I finished, I gathered the few sets of clothes Anko left here into the scroll as well. Making my way into the kitchen, I looked in my fridge, deciding to use most of the ingredients present to make a farewell breakfast.

That turned out to be just a few eggs, a couple slices of bacon, and a loaf of bread that was a day away from being stale. Sighing, I put two pans on the stove, slowly cooking the eggs and meat, while I placed the bread into a toaster. Grabbing the small amount of apple jam that I had left, I prepared the plates, waiting for everything to finish.

As I was cooking, I felt Anko wrap her arms around me, holding me close. Burying her face into my neck, she yawned. Raising a hand, I stroked her cheek. What started as a simple good morning greeting turned into something more, as I felt her grinding against me. Pinching her cheek, she grumbled before shuffling back into the bedroom.

Smiling at her antics, I pulled out the last bit of juice I had left and poured each of us a glass. Noticing the eggs and bacon were done, I placed them on the plate, before taking the toast and spreading the jam. Sitting down, I started eating, watching as Anko reentered wearing just a shirt. Yawning again, she sat down and started slowly eating, gradually waking up. Halfway through her nibbling, she opened her eyes, before quickly finishing the rest of the food. Chuckling at that, I finished mine as well, before taking both plates and washing them. Anko continued to sit, watching me. When I finished, she had an eyebrow raised, her legs spread apart. Sighing, I walked over to her, deciding to give her some 'help'.

~~~
Walking out of the apartment, I looked at the door, realizing that this would be the last time I ever came back here. I had cleaned it out, leaving only the things that were there when I rented the place. Making my way to the landlord's office, I dropped off the key and an envelope that stated I wouldn't be living here anymore. I also placed a few thousand ryo in the envelope, covering the rest of this months rent along with any utilities and such I might have needed to pay. Anko was silent as she walked next to me, a smirk on her face.
When we were making our way to the Academy, Kurenai found us. Anko's smirk widened, winking at Kurenai when she appeared. Kurenai responded by scowling at her, before walking over to me, dragging me into a hug. Returning it, I could feel her stiffening, and shooting her a glare, she blushed lightly. Shaking my head, I resumed the walk towards the Academy. It was the weekend, so few students were present, most deciding to take advantage of the day of rest.
Entering the area with the Mission Desk, I saw the Hokage wave us over, causing the few shinobi in the room to turn and look at us. Ignoring their gazes, we approached the mission desk. Getting up, the Hokage led us towards the small room that was off to the side. Upon entering, I noticed it was just two couches separated by a small table. Sitting on one couch, the Hokage sighed. I sat down opposite him, Anko and Kurenai sitting on either side of me.
"So, let's start with money. Shall I make it separate or all to one person?"
Looking at both of my girls, Anko shrugged while Kurenai remained silent. Helpful.
"All to one person. Me. Pretty sure I'm the adult in this group..."
Anko grumbled, while Kurenai pinched my waist. The Hokage chuckled, before pulling out two separate banknotes.
"Alright. The mission was A ranked, and as such I can award up to 1,000,000 ryo, which I did. Kakashi received 270,000, leaving 400,000 for you three. That's the first banknote. The second is the unofficial bonus due to the... complication that popped up. Everyone was awarded an additional 100,000, and as this is not tied to the mission, it goes on the second banknote, which will total 300,000. Understood?"
Nodding, I watched as he filled out the notes, stamping them before sliding them across the table. Placing them inside my vest, I returned my gaze to him, waiting to hear about the non monetary rewards.
"Anko. This is the key to the Mitarashi Compound. It has... fallen into disarray, since the clan hasn't occupied it in thirty years. The account is now unlocked to you, just show the key to the bank and they will allow you access to the account. Additionally, you are now a Special Jonin. After talking to Kakashi, you are eligible to take the combat and curricular tests when you feel you are ready to become a full Jonin. Kurenai, like Anko you are now Special Jonin, with access to the tests to become a full Jonin. Finally, Kokoro. Kakashi has put forth your name to become a Special Jonin, and upon the next Jonin Meeting we will vote on whether or not you deserve the promotion. That is all. You three are exempt from missions for the next two weeks. Any questions?"
I was surprised, as I had thought that it would stay the same as when we left for the mission. Shaking my head, I turned towards the other two, seeing them equally shocked, but still shaking their heads. Getting up, I bowed deeply to the Hokage, before leaving the room.
When we were out of the Academy, Anko wrapped me in a hug, laughing. "We are Special Jonin! Haha~ We did it!"
Patting her on the back, I could see Kurenai was smiling widely. She joined the hug, and we stood there, celebrating the promotions. I knew mine wasn't surefire, but still... Having my name be recommended by Kakashi Hatake? Many would agree due to just that.
We started making our way towards the bank, a skip in our step. Turning towards Anko, I asked "Should we deposit the reward into the Mitarashi account? Should we tie all our accounts together?"
Anko pursed her lips, before a wide smile spread on her face. "Well, I think we should just use MY Mitarashi account. Hehe, having two beauties paying ME~"
Slapping the back of her head, she pouted, before replying "Seriously, I think we should deposit two-thirds in the Mitarashi account and link all of ours together. We use the Mitarashi account for the Compound and supplies, and use our accounts for personal transactions."
Nodding, we walked into the bank. When we showed the Mitarashi key, the teller seemed confused before looking through the clan log book, finally finding the account. Motioning for us to go to a side room, we waited until they approached with a piece of paper. Looking at it, we were shocked. The clan had 1,250,000 ryo, and was taxed 250,000 a month from various taxes.
Seems like we have a lot of work cut out for us.
