Chapter 120: Confirmation (Short)

Kokoro PoV

The morning after our lovely night with Anko, Kurenai and I were rather sore, and it was something that even some medical chakra couldn't seem to remove.

There was also a feeling of heat that spread throughout our bodies randomly, but I ignored each, returning to my job as a Sensei at the Academy with ease.

After the large tournament had been finished, many of the aspiring Shinobi had started to take Iruka-Sensei's advice, and mine, more seriously, training harder than they had ever before.

It was during this day that I watched as each of the girls strengthened their mentalities, each one pushing themself further then I had thought they would.

Each added more weight to their regimens, while Ami now led the girls in mock fights at the end of each class, asking for me to grade their spars like I did the tournament.

They took my feedback and tried their hardest to implement it into their styles, while also broadening their experiences by sparring with each of their classmates, and Ami had asked me to start teaching them how to do group fights next.

Seeing the little Anbu girl so fired up made me happy, and I acquiesced to her demands easily, proud to see each trying their hardest.

Even Sakura had started utilizing the weights, her face strained as she mirrored Ino, who outclassed her by a large margin.

The pinknette had been demoralized by her poor performance in the tournament, as well as galvanized by her best friend slash rival's performance, after triple checking with each of the girls that they weren't suddenly muscle bound women.

Her odd desire to remain thin and petite was one I desperately needed to address and find the root cause of, because in the long run it would lead to bad decisions on her part.

The twins, Fuki, Tenten, and Hinata were also joining Ami with her after school training, each one wanting to get much better than they had been in the tournament.

Besides the Kunoichi Class, Taijutsu was much more animated then before, and Iruka-Sensei and I almost had to plead with the kids to stop fighting when the class let out.

Seeing their dedication made both of us proud, and I was hoping that it would continue even after this week.

Out of the Academy, Anko and Cameia were still taking on missions left and right, and we had just fully paid off our debt because of their hard work.

Makoto and I had made a large feast to celebrate when they came back that day, pulling out some premium sake that Shikaku had sent in gratitude for the Danzo situation.

Of course, without knowing if I was truly pregnant yet, same with Kurenai, our nights were gentler then before, and whenever the larger, golden eyed Priestess joined us, we made sure to use one of our other two available entrances to placate her.

She had been extremely supportive so far, and I could see more and more emotion emerging into those golden orbs whenever she was with us, though the most noticeable was whenever she was helping Karin train.

The pride and warmth that came out whenever the young Uzumaki executed her regimen to the letter almost made me jealous, but I was also looking forwards to how she would grow when it wasn't Karin, but our child she was training...

Besides that, Naruto still came over almost every day, the blonde haired trickster growing rapidly under my strict teachings, his skill with manipulating chakra becoming more apparent.

He was also perfecting his Fuinjutsu, and he had let it slip that he had started selling some tags to Kakashi Hatake, who had caught the boy when he was practicing his seals in the forest by his apartment.

After a stern talking to the young Uzumaki about not selling those tags to people he didn't really know, I made up my mind to find Kakashi one of these days and give him a piece of my mind.

Finally, the only thing that happened this week was Kurenai and I going to the hospital, the Hyuga that I had worked with months prior, Ginko Hyuga, being the one to check on us when we entered.

Going through some quick tests, Kurenai and I had been ecstatic when our pregnancies were confirmed, Anko nearly passing out from joy when she heard the news.

That night had also been a crazy one, and Makoto had been sitting and talking quietly to Kurenai and I, letting us know what to expect over the coming months and some things we could do to lessen the really bad effects.

Having someone who had been through it herself, as well as having helped some other women during their pregnancies, was very reassuring, and Kurenai and I made that crystal clear to Makoto, the older Uzumaki tearing up slightly as we thanked her profusely.

With such a hectic week done with, I was prepared for the calm, quiet weeks to come, looking forwards to teaching my girls, lounge around at home, and try some new recipes.

---

Just a swift week here, since there isn't much that will be truly happening day to day; I won't be skipping those interactions completely in the future, but there's only so much I can actually do with the average days of an average Special Jonin.

I hope its still enjoyable though!
