Chapter 43: Plans to Investigate Mildred

Emile stared at the painting of the lady on the wall. It looked just like her. That woman at the ice cream parlor.

“I will have to do research on you and every other model I decide to paint,” he said, addressing the painting.

He then picked up his phone and dialed Sheila’s number.

“At least, her mother knows this lady,” Emile said. “This could bring solutions and I can have some peace.”

“Hi, Emile, nice to hear from you,” Sheila said when she answered her phone. “Why are you so quiet? I haven’t seen you at all today.”

No, I’ve been busy, but there’s something that I want to know,” Emile responded.

“Oh, what’s that?” Sheila asked.

“This lady on the painting?” Emile began. “The one that I was asking about? Well, I would like to find out more about her,” he stated in a level tone of voice.

“Really?” Sheila asked. “Well, as I said, she went to a concert with my Mom, but we met her as well tonight,” she responded excitedly.
