Trust him? There were so many emotions tied to that sentence, and at this point, I wasn’t sure exactly who I could trust. Everyone around me, besides Aubrey, was a manipulator, and I was constantly left guessing what was real and what was fantasy.
Except this time, I didn’t have the luxury of second guessing. At the rate I was going, I wasn’t getting out of there on my own, and neither was Aubrey. Plus, I now had a key to the restraints. If that wasn’t my ticket, I don’t know what was.
I moved the key around in my palm trying to get it upright to hit the needle sized lock that was located on the bottom side of the restraints.
“I’ll buy you a bit of time, but hurry,” Tyler whispered, low enough that only I could hear. I nodded and watched as he stood up and turned to face Isaak, who was looking at him a stare that could kill.
