If there had been a way to delay his departure, he would have done so. Just to spend some more time with Sammy. With her, he felt free to be himself. She unlocked doors he had thrown away the keys to and assumed had rusted shut.
He slid his sunglasses into place from atop his head as his driver opened the door to the Mercedes Benz. Leo climbed out of the car and walked towards his waiting private jet.
"Good day, Your Highness," Ken greeted him as he ascended the stairs into the jet.
"Good day, Ken," Leo replied as he walked over to sit in his favorite corner.
"I hear the queen has taken ill. Please take heart. We have her in all our prayers," Ken said as he came to stand next to Leo.
"Thank you, Ken. You may sit down. I think we are about to take off."
Ken bowed and made his way to one of the other seats on the jet.
