Xavier Foster

Xavier Foster, a boy who's exactly six feet tall. Has tomato red hair as well as a handsome face. His athletic ability is unmatched in the entire school. The fastest runner and also the best soccer genius in of All Star Academy history. His skills with the ball can't be overlooked. International pro teams are already saving spots for him after graduation. Every pro team is dead set on recruiting him. Xavier tried playing basketball and tennis and he almost defeated his seniors on his first try. Where he lacks in academics, he makes up for it tenfold in sports.

Another fun fact about this guy is how many relationships he has been in. It is said that he's been in a relationship with over thirty girls starting from middle school. He was given the nickname Chick Magnet back then buy he has calmed down now. Most girls are in love with him and would do anything to be with him. It baffles me how a man like that is single. Does he already have his eyes set on certain someone and she's playing hard to get?

When a guy like Xavier steps to your crush and starts talking to her, you can't help but feel worried. He might steal that girl away from you. Cracking his dumb jokes, making her laugh uncontrollably. Getting so close to her, she starts to feel flustered and consider kissing him. I've seen that happen on television multiple times.

"Waaaah!" I don't even want to imagine it. Ever since this morning, I can't stop thinking about Xavier and Alice. They would make a perfect couple for sure but that's not what I want. This morning, I was in the student council room observing the chess match between Aoi and Ricardo. That was when Xavier boldly walked in the room with a bouquet of roses in hand.

"Morning, All Star Academy only accepts students with natural hair. Please leave campus" Stephano said as a joke.

"Hahaha, I can show you my crotch if you want. Hair is down there" . Xavier laughed awkwardly after realizing the negative feedback he's receiving. His joke was not funny, honestly it was uncalled for. He cleared his throat and pretended like he said nothing.

"Anyways, what's the deal with those flowers?" Stephano asks him. Xavier gave Alice the bouquet of roses and placed his right hand on her cheek. "You're a beautiful woman who needs a dependable man. I like you, let's spark a re—"

Stopped in his tracks, Alice covered his mouth while giving him a sad face. "Me, be with a guy like you!? Your jokes are not funny ya know! I am not interested in you. You are not interested in me, you would only use me for clout and I'm not into younger guys. Leave! You just crossed my line". Her swords felt like daggers piercing the heart mercilessly. For a brief moment, the sweet and innocent Alice left this world. She pushed Xavier away upset with his attempt to flirt. His face was shocked to say the least. "Alice can't be in a relationship right now. She's still healing from her last partner" Stephano said for all to hear. I wanted to interrogate Stephano more on that matter but now wasn't the time. Alice kicked over the table where Aoi and Ricardo were playing chess on. "Shut it! What a big mouth you have brother!" she blurted angrily. After taking some deep breaths, Alice bowed before Xavier then accepted his roses. "Thank you for the flowers. It will fit this room nicely" she told him with a feint smile on her face.

"Sure thing" Xavier tried to laugh off what just happened.

Has Xavier given up on Alice? I surely hope so, I don't want a guy like him as competition. This morning taught me that Alice is not ready for a relationship quite yet. That's fine by me, I'll wait. In the meantime, I'll get closer to her as good friends. Xavier confronted Aoi and I around lunch break. He moved his chair next to Aoi's desk and sat along with us uninvited. Normally, Xavier would be surrounded by girls trying to impress him with their bento boxes. This is the first time he has left his group since the semester started.

"Hey you two"

He greeted us in a serious tone, almost as if he isn't happy in the slightest. Aoi waved at him while I replied "Yow, what's wrong?"

"All Star Academy keeps a special event every month with classes facing each other. Miss Emi told me this event requires cooperation from the whole class. That's going to be a huge problem. Our class is split in groups. Students only talk to other students who are in their respective group. We are not United so we may fail. Class 1A and Class 1C are united as one. As for us, most of the girls only talk to me, they hardly care for the rest of the guys in class. Victor and Aoi are black sheeps and Fugo is a brute. He and his friends are not cooperative. Interested in helping me win October's Monthly challenge?"

His words took us by surprise. We were present when Alice rejected him this morning. We genuinely thought that he was going to address this morning's incident. Instead he's talking about an upcoming special event. Alice knew Xavier was not really interested in her from the start. Same goes for all the girls, Xavier might be a ladies man but he has never said words such love or destine. He might be an arromantic type of person under the rug. Enough of that, what he's saying is actually true. I noticed that the other classes are like family. In terms of teamwork, our class sucks. For example, they were quick to suspend Aphrodi over a rumor. They quick to bully me and shun Aoi because of her weird traits.

"You're going too fast. Is this special event the monthly challenge you spoke of. What is it about?"

Xavier showed me a flier that was recently posted on the notice board. After reading the contents of the flier, it was easy to deduce what Xavier wanted from Aoi and I. "Why us?" I asked him curiously.

"You two should already know. Most of our classmates are pathetic, that's including the girls who are always tailing me. I'm simply recruiting students who impress me. You two may not have realized this but you're famous. It is no longer a secret that Aoi is the one who's been playing the violin in the mornings and Victor is still an hot topic in the newspapers. You two are well known, I love being around famous people so help me out. I have a plan to unite the class"

After Aoi finished reading the flier herself, we looked at each other nervously. This special event requires a lot of work. "Sorry but I can't help you. It's best to ask students who are influential and outspoken to participate in your plan. Want nothing to do with it". Aoi agrees with me. It's best I plan something on my own, my method of doing things are usually hated by most.

Sigh!

Xavier left us with the flier and went back to his seat. "A Treasure Hunt, the first person to find the most treasure will receive an award. The term award is pretty vague. What will they give us, money?"

Before the school bell rung, Mrs Emi gave us an announcement.

"Students I have news so listen carefully. I won't be repeating myself". The class immediately went silent waiting for her announcement. "This is short notice but Next week Tuesday will be the our first monthly challenge this semester. Monthly challenge can be anything, it can be an obstacle race, an exam, a performance competition. Basically these challenges will be classes face off against other classes. This school uses these Monthly Challenges to determine the class titles"

"Class titles? You mean Class 1B, Class 1A etc"

"Yes, the class titles changes monthly. Only the best are allowed to be Class 1A, the second best should be Class 1B and the lowest is Class 1C. Know what this means? If this class wins this monthly challenge then you're promoted to Class 1A"

"What are the benefits of being in Class 1A?"

"Allowed for more practical classes in subjects like Chemistry and Math for starters. Plus the classroom is 5x better than this one. Wheel chairs for everyone, the classroom also has air conditioning. Computers are also in their classrooms. Haven't any of you entered the other classes? Oh that's right, classrooms for A has better security"

"Damn! Those guys were living like that this whole time!". You could hear the envy in Fugo's voice as he shouted those words. He stood up and lit a fire under his classmates. "Class 1A! Let's DO THIS!"

"YEEEEAAAH!"

Miss Emi waited for the students to settle down first before she continued. "This special event is held in every grade so you'll hear class titles changing often at this school. Monthly Challenge changes each month. This month is a Treasure Hunt, the principal will leave 200 treasure chests lying around the whole school. Only first year students are allowed to open them and asking a senior for help is forbidden. Depending on the treasure found, that will determine your position"

At Miss Emi's behest, Nayeli gave everyone a flier. The same flier Xavier gave me during lunch. Xavier made a valid point when he said our class is not united. Wonder what kind of plan he has?

The Next day, Xavier approached the class with an invitation. "My birthday is this Saturday. I'm hosting a party at my place and you're all invited. I want us all to get along" he told his classmates.

Many of them accepted his invitation but there were some hard eggs that are too hard to crack. Those hard eggs being Aphrodi, Aoi and another girl named Rohana.

This must be Xavier's plan to unite the class. He doesn't need any help from me if this is the best he can do. This won't unite the class, I know everyone in this class by just observing them. Their preferences, favourite lines, best friends and flaws. A fight will break out at the party which will split the class in two. I am confident of that outcome. The one to start this fight will definitely be one of the girls. A party, this is the first time I've ever been invited to one. Whenever someone invites the class to a party they would usually exclude me out of it. Times like this makes me glad I picked a high school far away from home. Aoi gave no indication that she was planning on attending so I asked her " What are your plans on Saturday? Going to Xavier's party?"

To most people, Aoi is hard to be around. She is awkwardly silent and she tries very little to make friends. Not exactly a person everyone will adore. I don't mind those things, she is my first friend in this classroom. Because she is my friend, I try my best to understand her actions. She nods when saying yes or no, she bows when thanking someone, she hugs when she's overjoyed. She puff her cheeks when upset.

"Aoi?"

The response she gave to my question was new to me. She closed her eyes and began pulling her hair slightly. Her hands were trembling as she held her twin tails.

"Are you scared of something or someone?"

Aoi pointed at the guy who sits in front of me, Takeshi Osugawa. She is scared of him and the reason is clear. Takeshi has been staring at her with lustful eyes lately, it is in her best interest to only be around him at school and nowhere else. Xavier's party was not worth it for her. As her left eyes was forced open by me, she heard these words of assurance.

"Don't worry about it. You can skip the party if you like. Since you won't be going, I will tell you what happens there. Your safety comes first"

Another outcome I foresee at Xavier's party is Takeshi's attempt to touch Aoi.
