Class Party (Part 1)

While we got dress, Xavier told me his plans for this party. Basically he wants everyone to reach the stage where they are comfortable around each other and can talk freely. It has only been one month since our class has been formed so chances are high Class 1B will unite like the other classes. It just takes more time. "The Treasure Hunt that's coming up next week. Do you have a anything in mind?' I asked him.

"No, I'm still not sure how to increase our odds of winning. It would be great if we got Class 1A's room and privileges". Xavier brought me to the main building of the estate. From just the looks of it, the building has nine floors at most with an elevator installed. We headed inside the elevator where Xavier chose to go on the seventh floor. While we were going up in the elevator, Xavier texts a message in the group chat. He told everyone the exact location of where the party is going to be held. Largest building, seventh floor. Once we exited the elevator, I was greeted to a huge sign that says Happy Birthday Xavier Foster. Balloons and ribbons were at every corner in the halls. This floor only had one room on it and it was spacious indeed. When we entered I calculated the size of the room. "Three times my whole apartment".

The room had four big tables, each filled with food. Desserts like cake, cup cakes and muffins were present while ice-cream was in the fridge near the back. A 64 inch television was on the wall with different kinds of game consoles below it. With these furniture's inside the room, there was still frightening amount of space left for everyone. "Before the others arrive, can I ask you one little favour?".

"Fire away"

"There's a table on the third floor. It is too big for the elevator so the stairs are our only option. I need your help to move it in this room". What he said sounded like a huge hassle. As the only person who has arrived early, guess it's the least I can do.

"Fine, let's hurry" I told him.

No one other than Xavier and I seems to be present in this building. Weird because I know I saw people when I entered the gates two hours ago. Are they giving Xavier space to have his friends over? While we struggled to lift the table on the stairs I initiated a conversation.

"What's your family like Xavier?"

"Awesome, most of them let me do as I please. As long as I give the family fame, I can do anything I want" Xavier giggles. He asks me the same question.

"What's your family like Victor?"

Should I lie to him? I'll tell him the truth partially.

"I have three brothers and one sister. My family only cares about the talented ones. Unortunately I am not one of the talented so I get the short end of the stick in everything. I wouldn't call them awesome" I told him.

Never thought the day would come when I'd just boldly tell someone about my family. Though it was little information that could be said, it still felt weird.

"Wanna be friends Victor? You're a cool guy who I'd like to be around more. First I thought you were a pathetic loser that Fugo picks on but maybe I am wrong. You made the bullying stopped and even got close to Alice Souken. Something that I failed to do on multiple occasions".

"Cool, that's a new one".

"It shouldn't be. You came super early and sparred with me continuously. You didn't have to help me with this table but here you are. Give yourself credit".

"Fine.....Friends, I could use some more of those. That's why I came to this party, to see if I could make some".

"Looks like you're doing well then cuz now we're pals" Xavier said happily. This guy, he's making me feel warm inside. His words uplifted my spirit, energy bursts within me as I held onto the table. After a fifteen minute struggle, we managed to move the huge table inside the room where we'll party. Xavier plans on playing board games if no one is interested in video games or movies. At last, students from our class starts arriving.

A group of them arrived simultaneously, almost as if they were together from the start. They must have went somewhere as a group before coming here. Nayeli Horohoro, Tetsu Sasagawa, Riche De Le Varr, Sayaka Souken, Fugo Almaty, Darwin Sangster and Alisa Matar.

Fugo looked around only to see Xavier and myself. He just arrived and already he threw a tantrum. "Xavier! Lady friends, where are your lady friends!?" Fugo yelled. Nayeli who was beside him lowered her head embarrassed to be around him. She wore a long white skirt with white stripes with a purple top. Was more than honored to see Nayeli in the same colour as me. The purple duo has been formed. Xavier pointed out what everyone except for me was thinking this very moment. "If you truly like Nayeli then you better stop behaving like that. Do you really think having lady friends will score you points with her?" Xavier said with a bad attitude. Fugo thought he hid it well but everyone in class knows it. Even Nayeli herself is aware that Fugo likes her. That time when Fugo picked on me, he immediately stopped after Nayeli told him to. There's no way he does not like her, at the very least he hold her in high regard. Some girls in class even state that they have kissed multiple times, I'm not sure how true that statement is though.

"Xavier, happy birthday sweetie". Sayaka jumped in his arms rubbing her face in his chest.

"You smell nice, did you just take a bath?"

"Yeah I did, I was sweaty after my training" Xavier told her.

"What kind of training? Soccer or some other sport?".

"It's a secret, anyways we're waiting for the others to arrive before we begin. Wanna watch something until then?" Xavier suggested to everyone. Sayaka cling on to Xavier's arm as they took a seat on one of the couches. Everyone else followed their lead. The couch was full, unfortunately there wasn't any space for me to sit so I grabbed one of the chairs. Everyone talked to Xavier about all sorts of things. Darwin asked about his family estate while Tetsu was already stuffing his face. Sayaka was smiling blissfully as she cling next to Xavier. I could see the scratch marks on her face left by Leo. They were fading away but if you look closely, they are still there. Nayeli was on her phone laughing with grinning with Alisa while Fugo tried talking to them.

"So natural".

Now is a good time to let myself be known but... Fugo is here. Hope more people arrives soon. I feel uncomfortable around this guy. To think I might have killed him if it weren't for Alice's comfort that fateful evening. "Hehehe". More people showed up for the party. This group was larger than the last. Before too long, 24 students were present at the party. Xavier decided to wait no longer and officially celebrate his birthday with everyone. The only absentees were Aoi Quin and Aphrodite Giovanni. Safe to say, those two are not planning on joining us.

"Today is more than just my birthday. This is the first time where we all gathered outside of school. I hope we continue to do this, get along with each other. For my sake. I'm finally 16".

"Huraaay!!"

"Hurraaayy!!"

Majority of the girls quickly surrounded Xavier. Some took photos with him while others were daring enough to kiss him on the cheek. Because one girl did it, many of them also felt like doing it since Xavier won't reject them. While surrounded by so many beauties, it puzzles me why Xavier is not dating any of them.

Nayeli got surrounded by many boys in our class too. Fugo, Tetsu and Takeshi were trying their hardest to make her laugh but the effort went in vein. Recently Nayeli has been spending a lot of time with a girl called Alisa Matar. Long black hair that reaches her back, grey eyes with glasses over them. Nayeli and Alisa focused on each other, ignoring the boys around them. Despite what Xavier said about getting along with each other, the class was split rather easily.

"There's still hope I guess".

Takeshi Oda quickly grabbed one of the game controllers and gave Darwin another. There was only one television inside the room, some wanted to play games while others were already in the middle of watching a TV show.

"When is this show gonna finish?".

"Fifteen minutes give or take".

"Aww, that's too long. Have you guys watch this show already?".

"Does not matter if we had or not. Common courtesy dictates that you should wait for when the television is not being used".

Solitude, is there anything more despair inducing? Imagine not being seen or noticed by anyone. Nobody seems to realize that I'm here, my presence shouldn't be this low. Alice told me that I was afraid. Scared to hear what others have to say to me. What if they come off as mean? I can't make friends like this, I surely can't. As usual, if I don't take initiative I won't get anywhere. I opened the fridge to see what was inside. Many different flavours of ice creams along with drinks. After taking out three boxes of ice cream and gathered dozens of cups and spoons. Taking a deep breath felt natural. Some students were already eating food that was on the table while the majority simply chatted with one another.

"Hey! Who wants ice-cream!?". I shouted for everyone to hear. No way I did not get their attention this time. In response to my question, students began walking up to me. Fugo was the first. He assumes that I was the one responsible for sharing the ice creams and he's kind of right. I gave myself this responsibility just now without Xavier's consent.

"What flavour do you want?" I asked Fugo.

"Cookie and cream if that's possible" he replied. He was surprisingly chill towards me. In my head I thought he'd still be a jerk. He proceeded to ask me "Dude, were you always here?".

That felt like an insult, I was next to Xavier when him and some others arrived. He must have noticed me and chose to ignore me. "Yes, I was the first one to arrive".

"Hahahaha, so you're the early bird kind of guy. Come to think of it, you always arrive at school pretty early. Not once have you reached late" Fugo commented.

After giving him his cup of cream, he immediately went back to Nayeli. Tetsu and Sayaka were next to ask for a cup. "Strawberry! You gotta have strawberry" Tetsu said swinging his hands up and down.

"Vanilla".

"Here you go". One by one, everyone eventually got a cup of their favourite flavour cream. All who was left to receive one was myself. Sadly, vanilla ran out on me so I had to settle for the chocolate chip. Everyone seemed to settle in Xavier's room rather quickly. The girls started playing cards on the table Xavier and I carried while others played video games. A few antisocials like Rohana and Alisa simply stared at their phones the entire time. This is a rare opportunity to study everyone's behaviour outside of school. Do they act differently or the same? There are definite key differences in some of my classmates before me.

For example, Tetsu is normally a hardcore fellow who always speak in a high tone. Right now he is speaking lower than he normally does and there's this habbit where he swings his hand around. I was aware of that habbit but normally he would try to his best to restrain himself. At school, Xavier would give each an every girl a smile on his face. He'd even go out of his way to flirt with them, toy with their feelings knowing that he isn't interested in any of them. Home is a different story, you could see the annoyed look on his face clear as day. Nayeli is friends with almost everybody so it's strange to see her only talking to Alisa, a girl who she rarely speaks to in class. I don't know if it's because of the party but Fugo is less of a jerk today. I'm probably saying this because he didn't tease me or anything today.

After I memorized certain images in my head Xavier stood up as if he had enough. He joined Takeshi and the others who were playing a racing car game.

"Hey Victor, wanna join in?".
