A Good Friend

We were silent... But smiling, understanding each other without talking.

Approximately 40 minutes later, the game ended.

We were gasping, trying to calm our racing hearts from moving our body for far too long without rest, exhausted...

" Haah... In the end, you can't win against me." I said proudly... My mood has lighten up, I thank him for giving me rest whenever I'm near my limits.

" ...Damnit, one day, I swear! One day I will surpass you! " He cussed. The other guys in our team looked at him with surprise.

" That's not good, student council pres..." I shook my head. " How could you say something so bulgar..." I added, covering my mouth, implying I'm being sarcastic as I watch this pissed off person in front that stare daggers at me.

" It isn't over yet!!" He shouted, his face tells me he's determined to surpass me, to defeat me... Little did he know... He already won...

"? Where are you going?" I asked, he suddenly looked surprised then stomped his way out of the court...

" Just stay right there!!"

He shouted, running.

" JUST. STAY. RIGHT. THERE!"

He shouted once more before he's out of sight. Giving me more reason to follow him and disobey what he said. And so, I followed until he reached the Principal's office, there was a ruckus and a bunch of glass shattering before he finally left and get startled from seeing me waiting by the door.

" It's my mother, isn't it?" I asked, and his readable face says it all.

"... Maybe, it's time to send her to a... Hospital..." He said... Hesitantly. I know he's just concerned about my and my mother's wellbeing... But I don't want to be separated from her no matter how violent she treats me... She took care of me, now is my turn to take care of her.

" Don't give me that look, she needs it more than you think! You're not normal too, you... You became suicidal... It's time to let her go... No. I'm sorry... " He looked down... As if regretting what he said. ' what a good friend' I thought.

I have been stubborn... Even from the start of her symptoms... I never wanted nor do I ever imagined her going crazy after my twin sister's death... But, after all, she killed her... Accidentally.

"... You're right... Help me send her off." I said with resolve unstable as it could be...

"... I'll take care of it. " He said. He was happy...

" Hey..." I called.

"Hm? " He answered. I looked him in the eye and he can already tell what was happening even without me talking, he opened his arms... ' What a good friend' I thought. I staggered and fall...

" Have a good rest." I heard him said.
