Cheaper Change

Alexander really had nothing to say about his role model's concept. It was an entirely different level than what he would have done.

Shifting the entire base of operations, or in this case, post-production to another country is hard to beat.

"Anyways, let's not talk about that and instead focus on the party!" Mark shifted the topic from that as he wanted to take off some of the tension in his system.

The entire crew would be having a celebration party as a way to give a fitting end to all their efforts during the entire filming process. Almost every actor that had already finished filming would also take their time to attend as this is their way to increase personal relations and as a form of respect to camaraderie

"Too bad I can't come." Alexander really had no other option but to stay at home during that time. It was his personal choice and a good excuse for the adults to kid-ify their celebration.

The girl actor who played the puppet controller in the sequel already excused herself as she was busy with studies, so Alexander had to take a bow as well.

"We will tell you about what happens!" Sullivan knew that although his grandson was expressing regret, the boy was actually ecstatic that he would be back at home and sleep in peace.

As such, Alexander was dropped off at home to enjoy his peace and eat his ready-made meal. While the adults were away, he had all the time to focus on himself.

He was pretty content in living a life of a recluse which stemmed from his artistic pursuit since his toddler years.

Other Joe was also an introvert, so it makes sense that Alexander did not look too fondly at crowds.

Whether it was his original reclusive personality, Other Joe's introverted influence, or his grandfather's insistence on being low-key. Alexander was wired to find his comfort and home and by being unbothered by strangers.

It was only because he had no choice in saving himself more money that he had to take a step into the limelight. In a sense, his unnatural obsession with enriching himself with wealth seems to have trumped his code to always seek comfort.

As an extension to the concept of leaving his comfort zone, time whizzed by and Alexander could be seen leaving a plane along with his father and grandfather.

There were also tourists and homebound locals docking with them. There wasn't any need to iterate where they are as Cosmic's temporary base of operations has been mentioned to have been designated here.

The recently termed 'Bollywood' or the Hollywood of Bombay/ Mumbai, India.

"Grandpa, you really took the chance to kill many birds with one stone on this one!" The somewhat travel-weary Alexander suddenly found energy as he praised his grandfather's genius.

"Haha! I could have also gone for Hong Kong or China but they are either bit too closed off from outsiders or a bit too messy for my taste." Sullivan totally relished his grandson's praise of him. "India also has its unsavory kinks but it is the most optimal to fit our current needs. Cheap, far away, has a film industry, and the most receptive employees numbering to the hundreds."

"Yep! Bollywood might be the cheap factory industry in the world of film." Alexander said in a bit of a degrading undertone but who wasn't in this era?

Mark had nothing to say about his kin's capitalistic thinking. He also knows what the duo is happy about and could not help but lament the fate of the Indian natives.

India had an economy that could not compare to America. Naturally, the gap in monetary standards means that Cosmic can make full use of it.

Films were cheaper, making their new editing methods not so much a money burner as they thought they would be. It also means that reproducing the copies that would be distributed to theaters is also cheaper.

If it was 100 dollars per copy, now they had a discounted price. Making the global simultaneousness of the movie premiere becoming possible and cheaper.

Added to that bonus is the fact that Sullivan got his hands on an even cheaper film copying method, the cost is practically lower than ever.

Although it was a happy thing that the equipment and technology are cheaper here, what made the capitalistic grandfather and grandson happier is the cheaper labor.

India had a strict social hierarchy and a lot of people with middling status could be trained in specific talents that fit their film editing needs.

Granted, these overwhelmingly cheap alternatives were amazing but they also have guidelines and limits.

However, those limits and rules could be bypassed by having a lot of established connections like Old Sullivan. It was even made applicable for the three of them to have prime safety and somewhat secretive operations while in India due to Sullivan's reaches.

India and American relations were at an all-time low due to the latter supporting Pakistanis. Yet, here they are enjoying a leisure stroll that should not be available to other Americans.

Also, not to forget the most important consideration for choosing India is the secludedness of the location from other prying companies that want to keep their monopoly.

It was accurate to say that Alexander's many birds with one stone were the perfect representation of Sullivan's bold moves.

These two knew how to take full advantage of people and Mark was fearing the day when both of them pool their methods together.

When they had their luggage to themselves, the Creeds got into their rented vehicle and headed for their destination.

1974 India couldn't be anything different than what it should be. Alexander looked at the view from his window and tried to remember some details of it.

What it is now is bound to be different in the future due to the progress of time and society. The boy hoped to be able to compare the difference the next moment he would visit these roads they are taking.

The infrastructure, landmarks, trees, and even the people living in it. Even though Alexander couldn't keep track of everything, he still knows the inevitability of change.
