Surfacing Anxiety

Helena hadn't seen the young boy for more than half a year which is why she was back to her adjusting period when it comes to his quirkiness.

At least she was a bit glad for the boy and his family members had spent more time together.

She was told that her employers were making a movie and it came as a surprise for her that they wanted to cast the young Alex as the protagonist.

If her connecting the dots were spot on, then the movie would probably be the script she was asked to sign the confidentiality agreement on.

While his babysitter was playing a little bit of Sherlock, Alexander was at his table and thinking of the things he should be doing or would be doing next.

For some reason, whenever he thinks about screenwriting another movie, a pressuring feeling forebodes around him.

His ability to concentrate has been dropped and any effort he tries into translating movie creativity into paper has been rendered moot.

Fortunately, he was still able to read and draw as usual but the peculiar feeling would return once in a while when the thought of using the skimmed information in a new movie.

"Is this some sort of screenwriter's block or something?" Young Alex was left hapless at the peculiarity and couldn't help but worry about the possible developments of this sensation.

The whole premise about working together with his elders was empowered by the fact that he could produce possibly-winning movie scripts for them.

If that empowering ability is lost, Cosmic Pictures would be wading through thousands of scripts like any other film production company.

"I'd have to push through these uncertain feelings and hope that it would work." The boy was feeling disconcerted by this subconscious trickery and wanted to bulldoze through it.

He picked up his pen and took a blank piece of paper. The pressuring sensation intensified even more so than when he would just be doodling possible movie characters.

He gritted through it and when he was able to write what is close to a working movie premise, the sensation alleviated but his little back was drenched with sweat.

Even Helena not far from him could notice the disturbed state that he is in.

His natural charm was a blessing but it came with a drawback that other people could empathize with what he is feeling whenever he doesn't have full control over it.

It was normal for Helena to see the boy mutter question whenever he reads or draws, she assumes it is his way of teaching himself. What alarmed her was the influencing sensation he is exuding and the sweat that dripped his cute face and previously dry clothing!

"Alexander, are you alright?!" She was quick to come to the aid and she could finally feel that she would be able to get back her job description. "Is something hurting inside you? Shall I just give you some medicine or maybe we can go to the hospital?!"

However, she was still a mess because she was pretty clueless about the cause of his sudden disconcerted demeanor. Helena was patting the boy left and right, trying to find something that could lead her to the unknown source of the problem.

She came to see the boy as a stiff, stable, and independent model due to her recent interactions with him. The sight of his stoicness being gone seemed to have sent her into a panic.

"It is alright, Ms. Davis! I just remembered a horror movie I watched and had a bout of chills." Alexander gave an evading lie and wanted to change his damped shirt. "Don't mind me!"

He excuses himself and the babysitter was finally appeased when he gained control of his influencing and stable aura. His father and grandfather told him about this charisma thing he seems to have but it was only in this scenario that he found the usefulness of the thing.

Even a young woman like Ms. Davis was tricked by an obvious and outright horror movie falsity. If she were to second guess his words, she would find out that a kid such as him wouldn't be allowed by his father to see such vulgar-themed films.

With swindler powers and occult-leader aura, the poor babysitter didn't question it for a thing.

Putting such incomprehensible abilities aside, Alexander was then left to ponder about the pressuring sensation and the alleviation it accrued when he forced his way through it and when his babysitter was checking for whatever she deemed vital.

More or less, he can now pinpoint where the problem lies. "It seems that my happy vacation really hasn't taken down the feeling of uncertainty when making a movie."

It was the only plausible and uncontested explanation he could find.

The possibility of the movie being a flop was constantly nagging on his head and he had pushed it back during the trip to India. But, when he started thinking about making a new movie or just even a script, the nagger at the back of the line was instantly pushed to the forefront.

When he inwardly questioned himself about 'what movie is destined to earn money', his train of thought also headed for its counterpart: 'what movie is destined to fail'. As such the earlier screenwriting block and anxiety scenario came to be.

Fortunately for him, his haphazard methods worked and the creativity block was somewhat removed for now. He wasn't too sure how Ms. Davis' actions played into the occasion, maybe motherly affection or something else entirely, but at the very least it helped.

These recent turn of events eventually made him want to plan and take his time when choosing a movie to rip off.

This Kid Psychic pessimism would not yet be solved until the movie performs at the box office. Even though he had great reasoning on why it would succeed, the movie scene was always riddled with uncertainty, so he wasn't too confident now.

To prevent the nagging feeling from returning for future filmmaking, Alexander vowed to map and plan out the entire movie catalog of Cosmic Pictures.

Maybe he could even go full smarty pants and make it a Cosmic Movie Universe! Although the thought is absurd, given his current circumstances, he has a lot of free time on his hand to find out if he was capable of it.
