"Second brother, my child, is gone."

With a rosy flush to her lips, Lola Hussey lay in Ethan Ainsley's arms, breathing gently as she said, "I just woke up. Aren't you bothered by my morning breath?"

Ethan cupped her chin, forcing her to raise her head, "Remember, you owe me this time."

Lola looked confused, "What do I owe?"

"What do you think?"

"Huh?" She was still lost.

Ethan lowered his head and softly bit her blushing lips.

It didn't hurt, but the sensation was a tingling numbness that made her more alert.

The gears in her brain began turning again.

Once she understood his meaning, her face flushed and she whimpered, "Hmm."

Ethan: "I didn't hear that."

Lola responded more emphatically, "Hmm, I owe you."

Ethan was satisfied, and his fingers lingered in her hair, tangled up in her silky strands. "Last night was an accident. The person who kidnapped you was Elijah Bailey, your fifth brother."

"Elijah?"

Ethan nodded, "Yes, him."

Lola knew she had a fifth brother. Her father mentioned it.
