No longer in critical condition

It was silent now, but she remained in her brother's arms.

Tears flowed from Lola Hussey's eyes, seeing the unconscious driver and her equally unconscious brother protecting her. She opened her eyes and whispered softly:

"I'm okay, I'm okay."

Her breathing became heavier and her head throbbed in pain. Some fragmented images in her mind began to piece themselves back together. Her face turned increasingly pale from the pain, and she couldn't even hear the sound of urgent footsteps approaching.

"Lola."

Lola Hussey saw the person she had been longing for. Struggling to open her mouth, she called out his name, "Ethan Ainsley."

That was the first thing she said.

The second was, "Save my brother."

Then, she too slipped into unconsciousness, utterly unresponsive.
