This matter is not over yet, danger is approaching.

She should have been the one bleeding so much!

"Lola."

Ethan Ainsley, helpless, coaxed her, "It's not what you think, don't blame yourself, it has nothing to do with you."

"It's me." Lola Hussey choked out, "They were coming for me; it's really me. My brother got hurt because of me."

Ethan couldn't stand to see her cry.

It hurt his heart, causing uncontrollable aches.

"Don't cry." He coaxed her, but no matter how he tried, her tears wouldn't stop.

The door to the sickroom was pushed open.

Egbert Bailey came in.

He had an important experiment yesterday, so he went to the lab without his phone or any means of communication. The experiment didn't finish until midnight, so he took a quick nap in the lounge nearby. When he woke up and learned of the incident, he rushed to the hospital first thing this morning.

Upon arrival, seeing his sister crying heavily, Egbert's heart felt like it was pricked with needles.

Coming to the bedside, Ethan stood up when he saw Egbert arrive.
