"Sweeter, especially sweeter."

Ethan Ainsley raised his eyebrows: "What?"

Lola Hussey said: "I forgot to add sugar to my water, but if you smile for me, it will be sweet."

She thought he would give her a smile, but he didn't. Instead, he walked back to her.

With a few steps, he came back, gripped her shoulder, leaned down, and left a light feather-like kiss on her lips. "Is it sweet now?" his cello-like melodious voice echoed in her ear.

Lola Hussey's eyes curved into crescents: "It's sweet, very sweet."

Just after she spoke, Ethan Ainsley kissed her again, this time deeper than the feather-like kiss before. After the kiss, he stood up and left the hospital room with swift strides.

He was holding back.

However, Lola didn't understand, feeling that he was just briefly attending to her while he was busy.

"Hmph, if he's half-hearted now, what about when we're married!" Lola Hussey rested her cheek on her hand, staring at his retreating figure, and grumbled.

Lola Hussey fell asleep after eating.
