Lola Hussey has calculated it

"Every room? Where have we gotten to?" Lola Hussey tried to climb up.

Fitzroy Sullivan blocked the entrance: "You better not come up."

"Why not?"

"There's no reason, it's just the difference between passively switching rooms and actively moving from one room to another."

After saying that, Fitzroy Sullivan's dirty hands covered his face, old tears running down.

...

A few minutes later...

Lola Hussey was still comforting Fitzroy Sullivan: "It's alright, it's not a big deal, we can always dig another way out, look at us now, we still have two rooms to move around freely."

Fitzroy Sullivan: "..."

He would have been better off without the comforting; now Sullivan felt even worse.

He dug for half a day, exhausted like a bull, only to be caught again.

One last effort, and he spent another half day digging, only to end up in another room.

He had never been so unlucky in his life.

If only he hadn't come in the first place.
