Surprise when Grandma...

Matt Bailey was overjoyed. Although he was always aware of the daughter's situation in North City and had personally stayed there for a while, her absence was deeply felt nonetheless. He wondered how many autumns had passed without seeing his precious one?

He hugged her and swung her around before finally letting her go, sighing, "Oh, my girl has grown heavy."

Lola Hussey chuckled: "So, wasn't it better when I was a child?"

"Of course. When you were just this tiny, wherever I went, you were in my arms," Matt Bailey said, his voice filled with fond memories.

Lola only heard about growing up in her father's arms later. She hardly ever touched the ground when she was young; she was either nestled in her father's arms or her brothers', while her sister loved to cuddle her.

Nigel Hussey, who had been standing silent at the door, had an expression that read: I am jealous.

All dressed up for nothing; her husband and daughter had outshone her, and Lola hadn't even noticed her.

"Ahem."
