"Lola, I can't believe it..."

Ethan Ainsley's reaction was quite calm.

It seemed as if he didn't have any reaction at all.

Lola Hussey was quite upset by this. She had thought that when he heard she was pregnant, he would be extremely happy and thrilled. But instead, he was utterly neutral, showing no reaction at all.

"Don't be quiet, you should at least display some emotion," Lola gently pulled at his sleeve whimpering.

Ethan brushed off her hand, his face cold, "Think about it, how many times have you played this kind of joke on me?"

A prank about pregnancy?

Lola counted on her fingers, it seemed like only twice. One of those times she even fooled her dad and brother...

"But it's different this time," she said to him with a chuckle.

Seeing her laugh, Ethan sighed helplessly, "There should be a limit to everything, no more jokes like this."

He still didn't believe her.

Turns out the story of crying wolf was not to be taken lightly.
