"Nourishing, it's perfect for that. Get me a bowl too," Nigel Hussey said.
Jones brought another bowl and spoon, filled it with soup, and placed it in front of Nigel: "Enjoy, ma'am."
Nigel nodded, signaling Jones to step back.
As Jones was leaving, she looked at Lola, who was trying to signal her to tell Ethan that her mother was here. Jones understood, nodding.
"What's wrong with your eyes?" Nigel noticed Lola blinking.
Lola let out a sound and said, "My, my eyelash fell into my eye."
"Which eye?"
"The left one."
"Don't blink, let me blow on it and see if it comes out."
Nigel then cradled Lola's head, carefully pressing her fingertips against her left eyelid, prying it open, and gently blowing on it. She then asked, "Is it better now?"
Lola said, "Yes, it is."
There was actually nothing wrong – it was just a lie she told.
