Ethan Ainsley's voice came from behind.
Lola Hussey didn't turn around. She was so focused on trying to find which cabbage had been pinched but couldn't find it. She asked again, "Which one? Where?"
"Here."
"Where?"
"Here."
Lola became a little frustrated and stomped her foot, "I can't see it, where is it?"
Ethan: "Turn around."
Lola obediently turned around. Ethan was just about a meter behind her, very close to her.
She was still a little slow to pick up on the playful smirk on Ethan's face.
Until Ethan said, "The little cabbage I've pinched, isn't it right in front of me?"
Finally, Lola understood the innuendo in his words. It turned out that he was teasing her and the little cabbage he talked about was her all along, the actual cabbages in the garden were all fine.
Outside the fence, Lola picked a stem of rose with its stalk, and then handed it to Ethan, "Now I'm going to interview Mr. Ainsley, how do you feel after pinching a little cabbage?"
