Dandelion green

Furthermore, perhaps not everyone benefits from chance. Nobody is aware of what their fate contains, but the question is who determines it. Why does it benefit some people and harm others? What good is it to let someone have a dream just to tell them it's not for them? For whomever exists outside of this earth, the heavenly bodies that watch from above, have complete control. Did they write people's fates? Are they enjoying watching their own people go through hardships? Do they even exist?

That was exactly how Ezekiel felt since Mr. Levin halted his coronation. He couldn't express his emotions, he couldn't cry, he couldn't communicate to anyone. Savannah made an attempt to speak with him, but he resisted, the memories of that day stabbing him in the heart like sharp knives. Is this how being deceived by someone feels like? With the door and windows closed and no light source, Ezekiel was sitting in a dark room. "Am I really that unworthy?" he asked himself. He was trembling with rage. "Am I really so unworthy? Brother." He shouted angrily. Even though it had been a month, the memories, particularly the one of the crown being taken from his head, were still sharp. He closed his eyes and thought about his misfortune.

"Princess Aura Josen should be the legitimate heir to the throne." The words were like a gong in Ezekiel's ear. "Yes, princess Aura, daughter of King Alaric Josen." That day, Ezekiel lost more than just his throne; he also lost his daughter. The daughter, whom he cherished like his own.

"Who gave you the authority to obstruct this coronation, Mr. Levin?" Savannah maintained her composure as she spoke.

"The king himself." Everyone appeared perplexed. The monarch hasn't come to the castle in years. Mr. Levin held up a white envelope. "This is the letter that the quartermaster gave me when I went to the port to pick up the supplies. The king himself penned this letter." Everyone in the courtroom let out a number of gasps in disbelief. The populace outside the castle was eagerly awaiting the good news and the arrival of the new king. However, they were unaware of what was occurring in the courtroom. They only realized that anything was amiss when the music stopped.

"What if it's an ambush to lead us astray and prevent the coronation, by hostile territories?"

In response, Mr. Levi chuckled and opened the envelope, removing a piece of paper and a coin—the identical coin Coco had brought to the castle. These royal insignia, which bore the name of the custodian, were not trading coins. These coins, which are owned by all royals and bear their names etched on them, are only to be used in extreme circumstances and by the royals. Mr. Levin moved closer and gave Ezekiel the letter.

"To my kingdom, do not lose hope as the hard times will pass. Be ready. There are days of eclipse and then there are days when the moon is not visible in the sky. However, it will reappear with a fresh face, just like the moon that never went out of the sky. Don't forget your shadow, my people. Your king, Alaric Josen." It was read aloud by Ezekiel. "This is my brother's handwriting." He added. The letter and the coin were passed to the advisors for the examination.

"And this paper is not from here; sheets with tiny green marks on them are not made here; these are used in the Lumpus-inhabited regions. He can't reveal his location if he claims there is no mark of any stamp, which is acceptable." There was silence across the room. Few people have believed that the monarch has passed away throughout the years, or even worse, that he has evaded his duties. Everyone was shocked to learn that he was still alive, though. "Moreover, I counted the available supplies. As it turned out, someone was keeping an eye on us from a distance."

"And how about those who call for the king?" said Savannah.

"We'll tell them the truth, they'll wait until princess Aura is coronated. However, a few rumors need to be dispelled before proceeding." All the attendees turned to gaze at Aura as Mr. Levin spoke with clenched teeth. The princess, Aura, who was in shock at her place, maintained a stern expression. She was hit by reality like a bolt of lightning. The information she had been searching for all these years was right in front of her. But she was unable to handle it? Why does it hurt if that is exactly what she had been yearning for? Harold and the young Prince Timothy tried to understand her expression as they stared at her, but they were unable to. "We'll make sure they know everything they need to know." Mr. Levin spoke, softening his tone.

The audience began to murmur to one another. Some people pretended to feel sorry for Princess Aura, while others felt sorry for Ezekiel. Savannah's expression revealed rage that was discernible even from a distance, giving Mr. Levin hope. There were two people who had blank expressions and were mannequin-like in their standing.

"And Mr. Levin, what are you going to say about yourself?" Savannah questioned.

"Pardon?"

"It is already a crime that you withheld this significant information from the court for two days before revealing it now and interrupting a coronation ceremony." Savannah's remarks were stern but accurate. Mr. Levin opened and closed his mouth, but no words came out.

For just one minute, Ezekiel tightly shut his eyes. He wanted to leave this room because of the shaky mumbles and those compassionate eyes. He felt like he needed to breathe as the air started to become dense. The words of Mr. Levin were still echoing in his ears. He opened his eyes and sighed. "Enough." He shouted and stormed out of the courtroom, followed by others. He made his way to the balcony where everyone was waiting for their new ruler.

"Hail to the-." A man in the audience shouted, but then stopped when he saw that Ezekiel had not been crowned. The throng once more began to murmur. From behind, Savannah and Mr. Levin were watching.

"I'm sorry if I ever couldn't live up to your expectations, but I'm honored to say that Aura Josen, the king's daughter, will be proclaimed queen in accordance with the king's will." The throng made a glum look and scowled. "I was given the responsibility to serve this nation until the princess reached adulthood, and I'm delighted to announce that my princess is prepared to take the helm. Once my obligations were complete, I gave her this with all of my rational awareness. As for the protection of our land from the outside world, please be assured. The monarch hasn't left the kingdom for nothing. Supplies have been delivered to us till action is taken." When Ezekiel paused for a moment, the crowd broke into tears and remained silent throughout. And as a representative K-King, it is my final directive to carry out the will." Once more, the people shouted in support of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel felt pain remembering those times, yet he was unable to ignore this. He was given a vision of a dream in which he held all the authority. His dream has been stolen from him now that he has realized it. He was jealous. Since it was written in the blue scroll, it was always intended that Aura would succeed to the throne. So why did he now feel jealous? Is it because he was accustomed to wielding the scepter of power?

Aura, on the other hand, shut herself up once more and only let Harold in to bring her food. Savannah never came to visit her, Timothy the little prince, only paid her a few visits. The biggest revelation left her with even more unanswered questions, and she was reluctant to learn the truth at this point. How long will she hide from the reality, though? It will eventually emerge as a bitter dandelion green. Even when they are aware that the truth is too bitter for them, people chase the truth like they chase dandelions.

In order to comfort Aura, who had been affected by the occurrence, Harold was seated on the chair across from her. He silently studied her features and the effortless softness with which her hair fell upon her shoulders. She looks better when she smiles; the sad face doesn't fit her. "I need to see Mr. Levin." Aura suddenly rose up as Harold was busy acknowledging her divine face. "Harold, please take me there."

"But princess, the principal advisor will arrive soon for your meetings." Harold explained

"I know, I'll handle it. Just take me there."

"But he lives in a faraway place-." As Harold was speaking, Aura glared. "I mean, if we go now, we'll get there in no time." After letting out a sigh, Aura moved toward the door. The incident from the previous month had one benefit: Aura was given permission to go out. She remembered how it had felt more like a punishment the day she had been handed authority.

It was possible to hear Ezekiel's announcements from a distance. Aura was still standing in the courtroom and could clearly hear everything, but her legs were firmly lodged in place. Following the news, Ezekiel returned to the courtroom and stood in front of Aura. After a brief time of staring each other down, everyone entered the courtroom once more. The crowd could be heard praising and shouting. As a tear trickled down his cheek, Ezekiel cupped Aura's cheeks. "I was so blinded by fatherly love, Princess, that I missed the fact that my princess had grown up. This dominion is now yours." Aura burst into tears as well. After avoiding one other for six years, they were finally facing each other at this moment. " You are still my princess, even though I'm not your birth father, and I'm still your father." After wiping away his tears, Ezekiel turned around to face the counselors. "Aura's training to become a queen will begin tomorrow." The advisers gave a head nod.

"I'll ensure it," Mr. levin said.

"No, Mr. Levin," I said. He gave Mr. Levin a sneer. "You broke the law; thus, I'm removing you from your role as royal advisor. The chief advisor could have this position. Court is adjourned." Ezekiel spoke and turned on his heels, the rage visible in his eyes.

"I'll be out for excursion." Aura addressed the chief advisor. The fact that nobody inquired about Aura as if she were unimportant was both the best and worst thing.

It took some time to get to the main town, and when they finally arrived, Aura instructed the soldiers to stop in the market because the carriage couldn't navigate the narrow alley. She couldn't tell anyone that she wanted to meet Mr. Levin, which was the main motivation. "You are all free to explore the market, Harold. You'll accompany me." After getting rid of the soldiers, Aura and Harold headed to the narrow alley, where she discovered Mr. Levin's residence due to her nosy maidens. " Princess, are you confident that we are where we should be?"

"As much as I hate to say it, I believe in my maidens' propensity for curiosity." The homes in the alley have little to no light. This was the region of the town that was frequently disregarded. It was unexpected because Mr. Levin had never mentioned this location.

"But why would a royal advisor be living in such deprivation?"

"We'll put that to him. Continue walking now."

"What are you kids doing out here?" The princess was concealed behind Harold's big shoulders as he stood in front of the man with his sword drawn.

What is it that the princess has caused for herself? She never intended to run into any danger when she left or to have Harold suffer alongside her. "Come along with me." The man said.
