Concerns

I was talking to some of my father's friends, and to be honest I didn't listen to what they were saying. the only thing I could think of was him, his scent, and the way he looked.

I looked around and back at my father.

"Dad, I'm gonna go in and take a cardigan, it's a little bit cold," I said with a low voice, and I know I'm a werewolf how can I be freezing..? I'm assuming it's because of the lack of shifting.

I walked around people who were standing and laughing. I walked over to my mother and asked if I should take aurora who had fallen asleep in her arms. She nodded and gave her to me. I started walking over to the pack house when I walked by him. He was looking at me with an intense stare and I notice it wasn't only him, but his...beta, I think was looking at me too. I smiled and looked away quickly I couldn't be with him so I was gonna avoid him as much as possible.

I walked over to the pack house and closed the door after we had entered. I walked up to Aurora's room and laid her down on her bed. I tugged her in with a blanket and kissed her on the forehead.

"I love you more than words can explain my little angel," I whispered in her ear before getting up and heading out of her room.

I walked out and made sure to close and lock the door and I know why to lock it? And well that's because we need to know that no one will take or hurt her and this is the best way.

I took a deep breath before walking to my room. I got in and looked around. I had missed the feeling of being inside and not having to talk to people. I jumped down on my bed and sighed. I was gonna have to get used to my new life. The life of everybody knowing who I am. I sat up and took a deep breath I should go down again, but I don't feel like it.

I walked into my closet and got a cardigan. Once I had it on I felt much warmer. I don't know why, but the last few days I have been freezing like crazy. I decided to take a book with me so I wouldn't be so bored. I walked back outside and was met by the same eyes that had been on me all night.

I looked at him for a short moment before shaking my head and walking back over to my father. I have to be by my father's side so all the other packs can talk to the alpha and the alpha-to-be. When I walked over to my father, he was talking to the alpha of the shadow moon pack and his son.

My father and the alpha of the shadow pack I believe his name to be Efron had been talking about a possible agreement between our packs, that's at least what I could make out of the few words I heard when arriving.

I stood by my father's side and smiled at Efron and his son. They were now talking about some rogue problems and to be honest, I didn't want to talk to them I just wanted to be with my mate.

"Bella, can you please show Damon here over to beta Jackson?" my father asked looking at me. I looked surprised at him and over to Damon. I smiled and answered " of course, it is an honor," I said looking back at my father, he nodded and smiled at me.

"shall we?" I asked Damon in a polite voice. He nodded and I started walking. I felt a little bit uncomfortable walking with an unmated wolf but since there were so many people around I tried to ignore it. We walked for a while before the beta was in my sight. I started walking a little bit faster so I could reach the beta faster. To avoid the awkward silence between Damon and me.

I don't know why, but I had a bad feeling about this alpha Efren and his son. I guess time will show what my concerns are about...
