Deceiving The Boss

After receiving a good amount of scolding, she was sent back to her room. Of course, she had no privacy in her room. When her eyes fell on Raymond, she thought back to the deal she proposed to her brother and clicked her tongue in annoyance.

It's not that she wanted this man to tutor her.

Sitting back on her chair, she raised her head to look at him and brought up, "I asked my brother to let you be my tutor."

"Yes, Boss informed me. However, I would have to refuse. I am your bodyguard, not your tutor."

Creases appeared between Juliana's eyebrows as he mentioned that. He didn't look it, but it appeared that he was the type to hold grudges for long.

"You really don't place any value on to me, right?" she asked.

"That is certainly not the case. Your life is above mine," he expressed.

Juliana didn't like the sound of it. In her mind, all human lives should be of same value. However, then again, those under her brother had their own sets of rules and a different mindset— one that clearly doesn't suit her taste.

"Then, just listen to what I have to say."

"I am afraid I am not appropriate for it. My education is quite basic, not enough to tutor you."

"Look, I am not asking you to tutor me. Simply let my brother know how you agree to it, and he wouldn't know what happens behind the closed doors."

And she will deal with the repercussions that come later on.

"I do not agree with deceiving the Boss," he responded, "I apologize, Ms. Juliana."

Juliana was on the verge of bursting out due to annoyance. Why does this man have to be so unbending?

Juliana groaned and pressed on to her forehead.

"Are you mad about earlier? Here, I am sorry. I shouldn't have been so rude to you. You did nothing wrong. It's just my temper acting up. Satisfied?"

The man showed her a stunned expression for a second before a small smile formed on his face. That did wonders to her heart, and unable to bear the intensity, she looked the other way.

"But this doesn't fall in the matter of deceiving," he expressed.

Juliana almost scoffed. This man was incredibly good at holding grudges. Absolutely frustrating, but it's fine.

"Great."

"Ms. Juliana, you have two hours before going to bed according to your usual schedule. So, it would be better to complete those homework first," he pointed out.

"That's none of your business," Juliana retorted.

"I believe it is."

Juliana scrunched up her nose.

"Don't be such a busybody. You are not here to be my actual tutor; I told you so," she replied.

"And I think I told you that I am not deceiving the Boss."

She glared at him, and he stared at her back. Unfortunately, she lost this battle as her eyes teared up and she started to blink.

It was either this or having Rose as her tutor.

She nearly let out a scream.

"Whatever."

She rolled her eyes.
