"...what if I just kill myself..."

Erin started to think what she shouldn't be thinking.

"..I'm tired of this place.."

Erin squeeze her face to her arms. She starts to thoughts suicidally. Without nobody beside her or anything with her, she won't stop thinking negatively. Many stuff flashes her mind, and eventually asked herself-

"(Is there anything I want to do before I die..?)"

Nothing come up to her mind, except..

"..Lily.."

Lily's name come up from Erin's mouth. Many past memories starts to flash inside her head.

-That time I was still little. No one wants to be friends with me. I don't know why.. Whenever I approach one person and be nice, they will always leave and avoid me in the end.

"Hey there!"

But I never gave up to make new friends.

"My name is Erin, what about you?"

I always put out a big smile whenever I approach someone. I want to give them a good first impression.

"...Go away.."

But..

"I don't want to be friends with a weirdo like you!"

They always left me.

"..What did I do wrong.."

I look behind to where my first and only friend.

"..Tell me what did I do, Lily?"

Lily only look at me and doesn't say anything, like usual.

"..Ugh, is something on my face? Or a leaf get stuck on my hair again?"

I rub my face and ruffle my hair.

"Lily! Tell me if there is something on my face okay? Don't just keep silent about it! It will be embarrassing!"

I nag Lily like usual too.

"..Haah... We didn't make any new friends again today.."

Me and Lily are on our way to home. It's already 4 PM. Mom say I shouldn't go home late, and when it's already 4 PM I should already on way to home. I look over to Lily, and her face is like usual. But I can feel if she is sad too.

"Don't be sad Lily! We will try again tomorrow! And tomorrow! And Tomorrow!"

I always try to cheer Lily and myself up whenever we didn't make any new friends. Even though every day is the same, but I'm trying to keep us in high spirits to keep trying and not give up.

"Say Lily! What do you think we will have for dinner? Will it be... chicken soup.. steak.. oh! A cupcake!"

"..."

Lily is always quiet, but sometimes she do says something, but only a short answer, like Yes or No. Her voice sounds familiar, but I can't tell who is it similar to.

We have arrive at home.

*Ding* *Dong*

I ring the doorbell, and someone immediately open the door.

"Welcome home, Miss Erin. How is your day?"

It's one of the house maid.

"Hello Madame Diana! It has been fun!"

It's Madame Diana! She invite me and Lily inside.

I sat on the living room couch and take a deep breath.

"You look tired, Miss Erin. Would you like some fresh orange juice?"

"Ooh! That sounds nice! Can you get two glasses?"

"Of course, you must be really thirsty. I'll prepare it right away."

Madame Diana hurriedly walk to the kitchen direction. I look over at Lily that is sitting beside me.

"Say, Lily.. Do you have any plan for our quest tomorrow?"

Lily look over to my direction, but didn't say anything.

"Hmm.. Maybe I should wear something more colorful? Or... bring my teddy friend?"

While I think of many ideas for tomorrow's quest, Lily just silently watch me babble.

Not long after, Madame Diana come back with a tray.

"Here you go, Miss Erin. Two glass of orange juice."

Madame Diana place both of the glasses filled with orange juice to the coffee table.

"Thank you, Madame Diana!"

I pick up one of the glass and gulped the whole orange juice in the glass.

"Waaa! So refreshing!"

I look over Lily. Lily just stare silently at the other glass of orange juice on the coffee table.

"Here Lily!"

I pick up the filled glass of orange juice to Lily. Lily just look over me. She doesn't pick up the glass of orange juice from my hand. Lily look at the glass of orange juice that I hold, and then look away.

I'm confused, and ask Lily -

"What's wrong? You don't like orange juice?"

And then Madame Diana ask-

"Should I prepare something else for uhm.. Lily?"

"Hmm...."

I look at the orange juice, and then look at Lily.

"Lily! How about lemon juice?"

Then I babble of how lemon juice is also taste refreshing, and nice.

I can feel if Lily doesn't want anything. Or maybe she is shy to drink in front of Madame Diana?

Then I remember something. I ask Madame Diana to prepare a cupcake for dinner to make her go away.

This is actually one of Lily's habit. She doesn't like it when people watch her drink or eat. That's why I always told her to wait in my room, and I will bring her food. And I will leave the room for her to eat alone. Whenever I come back, the food is already gone, only a clean plate. I feel happy when I discover something about Lily. Because that means I grow closer to her!

I put the glass filled with orange juice to the coffee table.

"I'll leave it here, hehe!"

I got off from the living room couch, and then ran off to my room.

I arrived at my room.

*Clack*

I open the window that is beside my bed. I look over at the evening sky, and saw a plane.

"...Beautiful."

I giggle, and then a gentle wind starts to blow.

I sigh silently, and a leaf fell to my window frame. The leaf is half green, half yellow, It's really pretty! But...

I suddenly feel bad for the leaf. I stare at the leaf for awhile, and suddenly think of Grandma. Grandma is in the hospital. When last time I visit her, she can't even stand up. She looks really tired. Even though she looks tired, she always want me to have fun whenever I visit. And I do have fun whenever I'm there!

Just like this leaf, even though the color is fading from green to yellow, it still wants to see the world, and have fun. With the help of this wind, it accomplish it's wishes.

I stare at the leaf, and then-

*Wooosh~*

A sudden gush of wind starts to blow, and it blows my hair, and covering my eyes. I use my hand to remove my hair from my face, and-

*slip*

"Ah!"

The leaf get blown away from my hand. I remove my hair, and look at where the leaf got blown away. I look behind me, and the leaf got blown into my room.

"..!"

I was surprised to see Lily is at the door.

The leaf got blown to Lily's direction, and then-

*tap*

Lily catch the leaf with her right hand. I look at the leaf, and then at Lily.

Lily stare at the leaf silently. And then..

The leaf start to turn brown.
