Are They Gonna Live?

Derrick and the friend's flight landed a few hours ago , they went to put their bags in the hotel they had booked and went straight to the hospital. They tried calling Jada to find out how the situation was but unfortunately it didn't go through . "Hey I'm Derrick Genaro, I'm here to see Mr Michael Genaro.." he said to the receptionist.

"Oh sir , we have been trying to get in touch with with relatives, please go straight and turn left by the passage there , and you will find him in Ward 4." The receptionist answered

"His relatives ?? His wife is here with him?"

"His wife has also been admitted sir , I'm very sorry."

"Why what happened ? ,Are they gonna live?

"Sir ,I don't know . you may head to Ward 4 to see the doctor"

Derrick couldn't even pay attention to what the receptionist was saying about trying to get in touch with relatives , he didn't believe she was sane, he knows Jada was there. He and the friends got to Ward 4 and they found Derrick in a Wheelchair next to the Doctor . " You must be Mr Derrick Genaro, please come on in , I have discharged Mr Genaro , please make sure he does not eat Sushi or any sea food again as it may be dangerous for cancer patients. If you do not mind now ,I may lead to you Theatre waiting benches to wait for Mr Genaro's wife as I have been informed that she is giving birth right now" the doctor said ,

everybody looked at one another surprised about Jada giving birth at 4 months ..but nothing could match Michael 's happiness right now , he was gonna see his daughter before he dies . His brother pushed him with his wheelchair as they were making their way to the theatre waiting benches. Michael asked the doctor if he could go in and he agreed .

Michael went inside the theatre room just in time for the operation to begin, He sat next to his wife with his wheelchair and he held her hand , through the process of cutting her ,taking out the baby and sewing her like she were clothes , he was there , he was holding her tight praying for her to live . Praying to see his daughter with his own eyes before he died , and there she was , a very loud cry that did nothing but bring joy to the doctor's and more especially the father . Jada had still passed out . The friends waited in ward 7 for Michael and the doctors to come with the baby and within a few minutes there they were , "You really are a lucky man." said one of the doctors to Michael. He nodded . They got to Ward 7 and everyone was so happy to see the child , they hugged and congratulated Michael , they apologized for not bringing gifts because they didn't know ,but they promised to buy them as soon as they got time.

Within a few hours ,Jada woke up. She was so happy to see her tiny , beautiful baby. She couldn't p believe it , she couldn't believe that God heard her prayer. She was so scared that her Michael would die not having known her child and she was so scared that by the time gives birth, she would have no one to hold her hand during this whole process , but God heard her , she brought her child on earth before he could take the father. Now what was left for them was to give her a name , Everybody wanted her to be Michael Junior , but what girl child is Michael? , The better way to resolve this was to atleast give her a name that sounded almost like his father's name , So they decided to name the baby "Michelle Joy Genaro", After all she had brought joy into everyone's heart at that moment , she came at a time when everybody needed to smile , she came at time when everyone needed something to disrupt them from their miserable lives , so indeed she was Joy.

The doctor said that they would keep the baby in hospital for a few more days to monitor how she was doing , so they were allowed to visit her until she was discharged.

They all went home , luckily they had booked into the same hotel so they could go together there and not go their separate ways.

They were home in less than 30 minutes and they said their goodbyes. "Thank you for supporting me guys , you are the best friends one could ever ask for" ,they beat his shoulder as a sign of saying it's a pleasure "You know we'll always be here for you ,bro. Oh and there's something we should tell you. we have all contributed money for you to undergo Chemo" said Derrick ,

"I have been undergoing Chemo, but unfortunately now it's too late ,my time here is limited . It's about to all be over , I have lived ,I have loved and that of which I have not done I still have few months left to do , now let's make the most of this and stop being emotional" he said with tears in his eyes , everyone wanted to cry as they said their goodbyes . Jada and Michael got inside their room and Jada threw herself on the bed , "I feel so empty" she exclaimed ,

"Why what's wrong?" asked the concerned husband.

"Just not having anyone to play soccer In my stomach, I'm not used to it anymore" she said.

"Thank you Jada , Thank you for making me the happiest man alive ,and I sure will die a happy man also."

"I love you Michael ,I always have and I always will . So now that I'm no longer pregnant, how about Skydiving?"

"Uhm I can't walk remember "

"Oh my gosh , I'm sorry ..I . I'm so sorry" she said as she was remorseful, having forgotten the condition of her husband.

Her husband laughed it over and asked her to pick him up so the could sleep.

In the morning ,after they had finished eating and bathing they were awaken by a knock from Derrick and the friends , Derrick did not seem to be as okay thou , so they asked him what was wrong. He looked at Elizabeth and quickly look aways , so Elizabeth spoke up. "Well Sis ,I happened to sleep with a guy last night..." everybody looked at her , "I was drunk guys ,I was drunk, I was stressed about my sister going into labor so early , it was dangerous, I just wanted to loosen up a bit and then I met this guy at the club ..and one thing led to another , I know I shouldn't have cheated on Derrick , he's a good man. I'm sorry Derrick." she continued.

"F"ck your apology, we all know Derrick doesn't deserve this , let's get out of here and let's go see the child at the hospital" said Connie.

"I guess Aya is not the only cheater in this crew , let's go guys."said Mandy

They headed for the door and they all just acted like Elizabeth didn't say anything ,they were all just so angry at her for doing Derrick like this ,how do you sleep with someone and say it's a mistake? it didn't make sense. "What's that in your hand" Jada asked Mandy. "Clothes for my Joy."

"Awwww ,they all said".

They got to the hospital and they all went to the room where they baby was , she looked so cute, she was an Angel. She had her father's eyes , her mother's nose and Derrick's mouth, I guess Genes really are strong. "Oh , Good. you're all here." said the doctor , "This little Joy In here is going home today, there's absolutely nothing wrong with her ,there are no problems and that means there is absolutely no necessity or reason for us to keep her here . She needs to go out and breath the earth's air for the first time . And once again Congratulations Mr And Mrs Genaro, May you live happily ever after" , it was as if he knew that happily ever after was ending in a few months . Derrick told Jada and Michael that he had booked them into a Spa so they could try to get over everything that has been happening over the past few days .

How thoughtful of him, thought Jada to herself. So he offered to take care of Little Joy while they are in a spa treatment.

Spa treatment.

Jada and Michael were getting their feet massaged , their faces dolled ,and their bodies massaged , they felt like they were in heaven ,this was the break they needed , with slow jazz music playing in the background, They had always wanted to go on a Spa treatment together ,but of course they couldn't go before ,but now? now they got another chance , like they had gotten another chance at love. so on their list of this to fix ,live and love before he goes? it was scratched off , as well as having a baby , scratched out. there was not much that was left ,it was just them living happily ever after until one perishes.

On the other hand.

Derrick was ordered by the crew to call Jada and Michael to tell them that she booked a restaurant for them today after their Spa treatment. This was to make sure they but more times so they could fix and decorate the hotel for the suprise late baby shower.

So after the Spa treatment, the lovebirds headed for the restaurant they were told that they were booked for . when they got there , it was RnB music as a background , red lights and white curtains, they walked on top of roses , it felt like it was their first date again. "Mr and Mrs Genaro, we have been awaiting you ,please come this way" Said the manager of the restaurant. He led them to the corner where their table was , and he asked to take their orders , they once again ordered similar food. just as they had finished eating, two pieces of cake were given to both of them. after just a few bites they were interrupted by someone's who spoke using a mic Infront of them , My name is Mariah Carey and I have been invited to celebrate this beautiful love tonight , Mr and Mrs Genaro I heard you that you have always wanted to come to a concert of mine , but unfortunately somehow it is too late for that. So because you couldn't come to the concert , I don't mind mind bringing it to you." she said as she started to sing always be my baby. they listened to her song and sang along to each and every one of them , before she could go she sang "Bye Bye" which really spoke to them at that moment . Jada knew she would listen to this song everyday after losing Michael. Mariah Carey hugged them both and left . Their wish to attend Mariah Carey concert was not fulfilled but it was even more perfect now that it was Mariah who came to them ,So the concert was now off their list. Derrick had really planned this well.

They made their way into the car as they were about to leave for their hotel, they were already sure that as soon as they get there they would go straight to be and sleep, little did they know that a whole party was awaiting them.

"Supriseeeeee" the crew screamed as the lovebirds entered the door, they couldn't believe this , The friends have really gone out of their way to make this night memorable. "Where's my baby?" asked Jada out of concert of the noise that was in that room. "Sleeping" Derrick answered , so they turned the music down a little . They congratulated them and exchanged gifts . They danced and had fun for the whole night and they definitely had the night of their lives ,those who drink were drunk and those who liked fun had it even when they were sober , it was definitely a night to remember.
