I Promised You.

"What time did we get back home, my head is spinning" she said , None of them could remember what time they got back home ,it was either they were too tired to remember or too drunk to remember, but it is most likely to be too drunk to remember. "Knock Knock" , "Michael go open the door" she said , "Hmm hmm you go open it",. they were both so tired to even get out of bed ,last night must have been a blast. Derrick let himself in , "Y'all must have forgotten you made a baby here!" he shouted , he started making food for himself in the kitchen , singing and whistling like it was his house , and ideal representation of "Feel at home ". Jada jumped out of bed to check who it was , "Oh Derrick we're so so sorry we didn't pick her up last night ,we were just so tired " she said, Derrick looked at her smilingly "It's fine ,relax pretty birthday girl. It's your birthday,you shouldn't be worrying about unimportant things" he said.

"Thank you Derrick, I almost forgot my own birthday, there's just a lot that had been going on."

"I know . So today I'm going back to China, this Bahamas holiday was supposed to be yours anyway"

"No Derrick could you please stay for my birthday, we will all leave tomorrow atleast" she begged him,. Derrick ended up agreeing to the idea.

"So I'll go take a shower , Michael is in the bedroom"

She said as she went towards the bathroom, she didn't even take twenty minutes, after 15 she was done , she wore her NASA hoodie and a short, so you would be kind of confused as to what the weather was , cold or hot? cold for a short and hot for a hoodie, well only she knew.

When she finished taking a shower she went to the lounge where she found her husband and the brother playing FIFA, Michael looked at her , "Happy birthday baby , come kiss me." he said , Jada went towards Michael to kiss him. "So what do you guys want for breakfast" the brothers said what they wanted as though they were ordering food at a restaurant and Jada was a waitress, she just looked at them and laughed ,"You guys are just going to eat what I eat period" she said.

She made a toast , fried eggs ,avocado and juice. that's what she liked to it everyday so because she asked them what they wanted and they joked around,they would have to eat what she ate even if the other one was known for liking his eggs scrambled. She gave them their food and left her plate at the table , "Thank you " they said , she went back to the kitchen to prepare food for Joy when she wakes up, she made her milk and cooled it down by putting it inside cold water. she took her plate and went to join the gentlemen. "I'm playing after this match." she said , they both looked at her "You're playing right?" they asked , "I'm definitely playing" she said , they meant playing in different ways , Jada meant she would play FIFA and the gentlemen meant playing as in she was joking . but she wasn't, after a few minutes into the game, Michael lost to Derrick so Jada had to go against Derrick. she sat next to him while Michael moved to the side. There was so much noise in the house , you know how FIFA makes people happy . Derrick was losing , and worst of all he was losing to a woman. The game came to an end and Derrick lost, Jada and Michael kept on laughing at him jokingly that he's a cow , a cow meaning he cannot play soccer even if it meant to save his life.

Jada had to take Joy to the hospital for a check up today , which was going to give Derrick , Michael and the friends a chance to set up the house to host a birthday party for her . Jada left the house and around 8am to the doctor and she got there thirty minutes later. The doctor checked her up and she was okay , he just gave her medication for diarrhea as he said it was a common sickness amongst young children so the medication would help her one day. On the other hand , the brothers and the friends were still getting ready for the party, making a hundred phone calls to make sure that everything went smoothly.

Jada got into her car and left for home , when she got there it was full of her friends and the brothers , honestly the friends Michael and Jada had were like family now. "SURPRISE!" they shouted , then they started singing happy birthday ,wishing her all the best and praying for her to find strength even after Michael has gone. Then they started showering her with presents , money ,clothes for her child "But it's my birthday ,not hers" she said as she laughed to Connie. and then it was time for her to give a speech ,"Thank you all ,I really have nothing more to say other than Thank you. Thank you for being my family and loving me like this

I have never in my life thought I would find friends that love me this much ,but here I am today with you guys ,thank you for loving me" she said. The aim today was not to cry but to celebrate, celebrate her life , God has granted her so many years to live , thereafter , a tall man in a black suit appeared at the door . "Mr M.Genaro your order has arrived" , everyone looked at him wondering what he had ordered now , they used the elevator to go down quickly so as to check what was going on. it was a car! wrapped as a gift and Michael held Jada by his hand and they stood next to it . "Like I had promised you Jada ... This is your car , Happy birthday"

"Michael this is not what I think it is , it's def..." just as she was talking the man removed the wrap around the car and it was Rolls Royce Phantom , she has always wished to have this car and Michael knew. "You told me while we were in varsity that you would do anything to get this car , and I promised you that I would buy it for you with my first salary , but unfortunately I wasn't with you when I got my first salary , so here you go. I promised you. Happy birthday"

Jada couldn't hold her tears ,she was so happy that her dream finally came true , she hugged and kissed Michael. She quickly got inside her Rolls just to feel the seat , she opened the window and screamed to everyone "It's mine!!!!" everyone at the hotel was watching ,they clapped hands and started throwing in congratulations.
