Convincing Father

[In memory of Technoblade I decided to write a potato war in the future! R.i.p. Technoblade]

*Knock knock*

"You can come in."

Hearing the knock on the door Arthur looked up from his work and said.

The door opened revealing his son and his wife.

"Hello father!"

"Hello hubby"

They both greeted him while giving him hugs.

"Hello you two!"

He said while returning the hugs.

"I am glad that you're here."

He smiled.

"But you two don't come to my office usually so why are you here?"

He was confused why his son and wife came since before this they never bothered him while he was working.

"Of course, because our son had a brilliant idea again!"

Gisella said, clearly bragging about her son.

"Oh, really!"

Arthur became very interested once he heard that his genius son had another idea. Because every time he had a new idea, that was something new and remarkable.

"So what did your brilliant head came up with now?"

Asked Arthur while looked at Albert while looking more and more excited.

"Oh, it's not a big deal, it's just a way of making more money..."

Arthur's eyes shined after hearing his son.

"Just making money? Albert don't joke around, money is also important!"

Arthur said with a serious face.

"Okay, stop this talk already!

Gisella stopped the father son duo who were just about to start meaninglessly bicker.

"And Al tell your father already about this company thing that you talked about to me!"

They both looked at her and then they looked at each other and they burst into a laugh.

"Ha, ha!"

"Okay, okay mother you don't have to be so mad about a little joke!"

Said Albert while wiping his tears from his eyes.

*Humpf!*

His mother harrumphed and looked away.

"Let's see..."

Albert gathered his toughts and started to speak.

"I had an idea after mother said that the demand is big for the knitted jumpers. And I can't make them myself. So I thought teaching it to others who will make them for me."

Albert stoped for a quick breath.

"That's nothing new."

Said Arthur with a questioning look.

"Wait let me finish!"

Replied Albert.

"There are going to be some differences. First we are going to hire the people who are making the cloth. So everyone going to get paid at the and the month or get paid for every clothes they make. And we are going to make just a few different kind."

Before Albert could continue his father interjected with a question.

"Why would we hire them and not just make a few shop and why only make a few kind?"

Arthur voiced out his doubts.

"Because our goal will be quantity but at the same time we want a constant quality and since they only have to make a few kind it's going to be a lot easier. And we hire them because they will have a stable income. And jobs with stable income are rare so the want to work because if they don't they will lose their good job and if they work harder they maybe even got raise!"

The King needed a few moment to comperhand what is his son is saying.

"And why do we need a big quantity of products?"

"Because we are not only going to sell to the nobles but we are going to sell to the commoners as well!"

Albert became more and more excited as he talked about his plans.

"We are going to sell premium jumpers to the nobles and to the commoners we are going to sell a cheaper version. And since we are going to wok with large quantities, buying raw materials in bulks are much cheaper!"

"Okay but I have a last question before I approve!"

Arthur was already close to accepting the idea but he had one last question.

"Ask anything father!"

"Knitting eventually going to become public! Then even if your clothes are cheaper, You are still going to lose a big market share!"

He said with a dead serious expression.

"Then you can't pay for the workers then you can't order the materials in bulk then the whole thing is going to crumble."

Albert smiled after hearing the analysis of his father.

'Just I expected he caught on quickly!'

But Albert didn't back down, no he became more excited!

"That's why we are making a company!"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Asked Arthur not understanding his son.

"Think about it! Let's say, you bought something, something like a cloth. And it had a great quality with an affordable price. Then because it was good quality you buy it again. And the new one is the same as the first one."

Albert described probable situation to his father.

"Then where are you going to buy the third cloth?"

Asked finally.

"Of course where I bought the last two!"

Arthur said without hesitation.

"That's it! If we make the same quality clothes then they are going choose our company's products instead of others! Even if they somehow make them cheaper!"

"Hmm, that's true but how are they going to know that the clothes were made by us?"

As expected of the sharp minded king again noticed the problem almost instantly.

"Since we are only going to do a few variety, everyone is going to know about it. And we are going to put the company's logo on it as a sign that it is our product!"

Albert explained.

"What is a logo?"

Arthur wasn't even that surprised since his son always loved to use new words.

"Hmm, a logo is like the coat of arm and we can make a law against copying it"

After Albert told his plans, Arthur started to think about it deeply if it's probable or not. But he didn't really had to think about it since his wife gave a perfect answer.

"Why are you thinking this much about it?"

Asked Gisella.

"Just give him a few hundred gold coin and let him do what he wants! Even if he fails he gets experience!"

'She is right there is nothing to lose!'

He realized.

"Okay I'm going to give you 500 gold coins and I will send you someone who is going to help you."

Arthur announced his decision making his son happy and excited at the same time.

"Thank you father! But can you announce the company and the work hiring instead of me because nobody going to believe it if I do it."

"Yes of course, I will do it and I'll write the law for the logo too"

"Thank you father!"

Albert was basically skipping in excitement since he achieved one of his main goal by establishing the company. And he done it earlier then he expected.

"Enough with the business talk! it's time to eat!"

Gisella temporary suspended the topic by dragging them into the dining room for a peaceful dinner with the whole family!
