The Opening And The Shopping Frenzy

The next day on Monday at 8 o'clock the anticipated first opening of the Royal store happened.

In the noble district, the professionally trained staff welcomed the crowd coming through the front entrance of the store.

"Welcome and have a pleasant shopping!"

The store soon got filled with customers who mostly consisted of ladies dressed in lavish clothes. They happily chatted with each other while looking through the clothes. If they liked any of them they took them to one of the changing rooms and tried them on. Which was followed by a gasp of admiration for the clothes.

"Thank you for the purchase!"

When they finished shopping they paid at the cash register. Where the cashiers in uniforms quoted the prices without bargaining. After getting the payment they gave the customers blocks proving the payment, packed the clothes in a canvas bag, and thanked the purchase.

Even though the store quickly became crowded, the staff handled it professionally like they were trained to do so.

So the whole process was fast and because the clothes were relatively 'cheap' all the clothes sold out in a few hours. Even though it got restocked, the new portion of clothes sold out as well.

In the end, the store in the noble district had to close at noon because all the clothes in stock got sold.

The ones who couldn't buy today grumbled a little but they still swore to be the first in line tomorrow. And it wasn't just the noble district, in the commoner district, the opening of the sores caused literal mayhem. The crowd became so big that the city guards had to be called to deal with it.

A gold-plated carriage went through the streets of Burg. [A/n: I changed the capital city's name to Burg] The crowd in the way of the carriage got separated by knights in shiny armor, clearing its path in front of it. But nobody complained because the knights were the highly respected royal guard and the ones who traveled in the carriage were the royal family.

'Hmm, everything is good besides the last part.'

Albert thought after reading the report of the opening day. He was satisfied with today's profit even though the stores had to close down a bit early.

"Yawn, I am so tired!" Albert's father, King Arthur yawned sleepily.

"What happened, my dear?"

Gisela who sat beside him asked concerned.

"Sigh, the guard's captain pestered me all because according to him the 'unruly' commoners can't behave, fucking bastard!"

Arthur sighed in anger, if he could he would have removed that fool from his post.

"Dear, no cursing in front of Al!" Gisela glared at him.

"Ugh, I mean that bloated retard who thinks because he has the backing of the nobles he can do anything!"

Gisela still glared at him but after seeing that he was fuming from anger, instead of mentioning the bad words again she tried to change the topic.

"Actually, I heard rumors that the mess was caused by Albert's newly opened stores!"

Albert gaining interest in the conversation, looked up from the parchment that he was reading.

"Yeah, because the clothes were good-looking, comfortable, and affordable at the same time. The whole stock depleted in less than an hour in the three stores. Which caused a 'little' frenzy..." Albert chipped in and explained.

Even though they introduced a limit that one person can only buy 5 pieces of clothes. It still sold out in minutes, which caused a frenzy like when the apple store restocks in China.

"So the business was successful?!" Arthur pondered.

"Yeah, probably we have to build more stores!" Albert happily said while already planning the expansion of the company.

They would have continued their conversation but the carriage jolted and stopped.

"We have arrived my King!"

The coachman controlling the horses announced and a royal guard opened the carriage's door for them.

The first one who stepped out of the carriage was Albert. He was followed by the king who helped the queen to step down.

Because the factory was downtown, there were a lot of people on the street. And when the royal family stepped out of the carriage they started to cheer loudly and everyone wanted to get closer to them.

'So this is how it feels to become a celebrity!'

Albert couldn't help but remember the celebs complaining about being famous, from his past life. And he couldn't agree more, he didn't really like crowds and fame.

The royal guards cleared the way to the entrance so Arthur, Gisela, and Albert could go into the factory. While walking between the two rows of guards Albert and his parents waved to the accumulated crowd. Until they entered the compound with a big sign on its front. On which was written Royal Factory, with big bold letters!

"I greet the King, the Queen, and the Crown Prince!"

Anul who was waiting for their arrival at the entrance renovated into a lobby. When they came in he bowed and greeted them respectfully.

"Haha, you don't have to be so stiff every time! I know you since you were just a child!"

King Albert patted the young man's shoulder and laughed.

"How could I be rude to you, your Majesty?! Besides, my father always thought me to be respectful!" He bowed again but a little bit deeper now and said in an apologetic voice.

"Your father..." A thoughtful look appeared on the King's face.

"You don't have to listen to that old coot! He is just a hypocrite!"

Arthur said to Anul while angrily huffing a little! Which surprised both Albert and Anul.

"What's the problem with grandpa Kelvin?!"

Albert couldn't help but chip in because to him Anul's father was a kind grandpa who always brought him books when he visited.

A look of betrayal appeared on Arthur's face when he heard Albert call that man grandpa.

"How could you call him grandpa?! When he doesn't do anything else just harras me, your own father!"

Arthur complained in a grief tone. And he became more and more agitated with each second.

"He always companies about money! What does he have to do with my own spending?! Why can't I just give my son some money?!..." He started to endlessly rant his grievances.

"He is just a money Gruber! I don't even know why my father liked him!"

When Arthur mentioned the late King the mood suddenly became sad and awkward.

"Dear, it's not good to speak ill of others behind their back. Besides, we should go because Bela is probably waiting for us!"

Gisela, who didn't want to sour the day when the family is finally able to go out together, tried to change the topic.

"Okay then, please follow me!"

Anul waking up from his shock, understood her intentions and played along with it. By showing the way towards the yard.

Gisela sent a thankful look toward Anul and started to follow him while dragging the daydreaming Arthur with her.

Albert was the last to follow and he was silent as well seemingly deep in thoughts.
