chapter 14

Sleeping throughout orientation was kind of difficult, the annoyance of Rina tickling me and the amount of people talking about me and not to mention the stares. Sadly, I wasn't able to sleep but I just closed my eyes as I rested instead, all of what happened during the orientation literally went out my head. So, I'm practically not aware of anything they mentioned except that we shall be given wrist bands, I already knew they were special, so I ignored everything after that. coming to the end of the orientation Rina woke me up and said, "At least hear this. We're basically done anyway."

Lazily, I sat straight and slowly opened my eyes. it was Alyona giving the final speech, "I don't expect any problems during the first week for you 1st years. Most has been talked about, like the functions of the wrist bands and all relating to your living conditions, there's seriously nothing more for me to add, school shall start next week Monday for the 1st years to get used to juniper if you're not familiar as well as getting comfortable with the school grounds, its big it may take some time for a few to fully grasp. As for the 2nd and 3rd years, I expect you to have an ample amount of brain cells not to do something dumb, you too shall also have no classes till next week Monday, although you're all used to the school, you're not to you classes so take some time to get used to them."

After a few more minutes of clarifying what was apparently mentioned, I didn't listen to anything so everything she said was news to me, she dismissed us, during the clarification though I was surprised when she mentioned that we'll shall be ranked soon. It's a sort of coemption inducing thing, that really won't work on me, but this gets the commoners high. 'I guess they take this as a chance to put us down?'

Emily seemed to have cooled down, so I decided to annoy her a bit. But sadly, I couldn't because Rina was annoying me, ignoring her annoyances, I asked "Hey, where are the dormitories?" like she didn't her me she kept on talking about why sleeping on such occasions is bad, "if you hadn't slept you would have known- "she kept on talking but that was the only part I registered in my head. Looking to Emily for answers, she sighed and responded "She has a point. But since I don't you close to me; I'll tell you so you can leave."

Since I already explored the entire school earlier, I practically knew every location, but I'd know which building is which and what is held inside. According to Emily the 1st 2nd and 3rd year dorms are in different locations, the 3rd years in the north, 2nd years in the west and us in the east, these are just general directions and not their exact location. She also mentioned that we shall be living as two students per room, and of the same gender. Our roommates shall be randomly chosen, so we shall know when we get there.

Getting all the info I needed, I simply looked at the spatial map I made earlier, in my head, I looked in the general direction of the building. Since I really didn't know which is which I just teleported to the entrance, yeah there was a fancy gate that had a sign on the side but nothing on it before but when I arrived there, it had words on it. '1st year dormitory' it read "What a bland thing to put considering the building."

The gate itself was made out of Nako and had a very intricate design that formed a feather, as for inside the gate, there was a walk away with a canopy acting as a shade, it was high up but too high, and naturally there were trees along the side of the walkway. There were lamps that hung from the branches above along the sides of the walkway, the path was made of grey, marron and red glossy bricks, they reflected some light from the lamps.

As I walked in the sight really calmed me down as well as amazed me, from halfway through the straight wide path, the sight of the dorm greeted me. The building was huge, enough to accommodate us and a lot more, there was a fountain at the end of the path. The building was circular enclosing its insides from all those outside, the amount of light coming of just the exterior wasn't too much, but it was a lot. Behind the fountain was the entrance to the insides of the circular building, it wasn't anything of a reception more of a security check point, but there was no one visibly present. Although I could feel that around 4 people were watching me as I walked in, I couldn't see anyone, and their locations felt distorted and random.

I could see the inside of the area from the checkpoint, but I was really curious on what was happening with these people. Stopping inside, I slowly begun to outline the entire room, after coving the e whole place I could finally see those who were hiding. What I did was just simply fully concentrate my spatial awareness in this room that I outlined, since it spreads a wide distance from me around 6 meters, I can feel and notice most things happening around me, although it's kind of weak and just feels like blurry sensations the further it gets. But by out lining a specific small area around me I can pull my awareness to only the designated area to get see anything hidden in that location.

Looking directly at one of them, I said "may you please give me directions towards the reception from this point on?" Surprised by what I had done, he raised his hand and pointed forward the checkpoint. Walking out and not bothering with any more details I entered the compound of the 1st year dorm.
