Chapter 37: A god?

"What would happen if a god came to a place like earth?. Can you guess? Or could you guess?."

"Of all things why god?"

"it's the epitome of power."

"Then why don't you simply imagine a someone with a lot of power?"

"That too, is difficult."

If I was to describe what it looked like if time was stopped, 'a silver sanctuary' is all I would say.

The world was flooded with a beautiful taint of silver, long endless thin strings stretched far be it through walls and space they floated moving around aimlessly. Glistening, the numerous strings coiled and wrapped anything close by as they encompassed the constantly moving Con■□■■□ and I.

Despite me stopping time Con■□■■□ was still able to move, and guess what? Freely at that.

"I'm not here to hunt you as of now, I'm just here to – what's the word, ah- observe you and find out if your worth anything."

"Am I then? Cause I really hope not." Jokingly, I asked. I just stopped time so that should at least make me 'Worth something' as he put it. 'Wait, what was I looking for just now? His approval?'. My thoughts froze and that thought alone, soon enough disgusted me to new heights.

Standing straight and firm I looked at him with an emotion that I haven't felt in quite some time- anger, "I correct that, I couldn't care less of what you think of me like the rest of you fuckers your ranking is of no concern to me." I was triggered. This stupid sense of need for approval reminds me something I would rather erase, invoking this need within me means instant hostility.

Nothing happened for a solid minute and if I wasn't near boarder line anger, I would have given a dam but now that I am this doesn't bother me in the slightest despite my possible imamate death by his hands this need he invoked in me isn't something I would let go so easily. Whatever this idiot called himself was staring at me with a blank face. But as expected of people of his nature his pride seemed to judge his way of life.

Instantly his contorted, first it was a normal scowl that continued further and further until his face was basically pulled into itself. Not gonna lie, his face is quite horrific – no, disgusting was more suitable for him.

It was clear from his not so friendly face that his anger, or whatever that portrayed, he was not in control, and he really didn't seem like he was going to control it any time soon. And guess what – he didn't, that's a surprise right there folks this guy needs an applause.

Lowering my posture, I took an amateurish martial arts stance. A moment later, black, that's all that was in my peripheral vision, and I knew immediately what that meant. I blinked, color and whatnot returned back to my sight and unfortunately my executioner as well, leaning backwards and towards the right I infused all my mana into aura.

'Aspect, acceleration.' I yelled in my mind, rotating with the little momentum I created time slowed down, I felt lighter, and my mind processed everything, and I felt my senses spike. Pushing my left leg off the ground with all my might, I ran.

Like a flash I was at the end of the corridor, the giant mirror was no longer as I leaped through it leaving 'that' behind me. With the benefit of my movements and general bodily functions accelerated with the help of my element, I moved around 25 times faster than usual, and that's without me sprinting.

Running with all my might, I passed buildings and people, with a timeframe less than seconds I was in front of the gate of Ignatius, for a moment I was conflicted on where to go but far ahead of me was Ignatius's main building, 'The strongest must be there right? They can protect me from whatever that is.' Destination decided, I leaned forward and ran straight to the giant skyscraper in the distance.

"You think you can run?." Con■□■■□, spoke in anger. The sight of an ant that he could erase in a single motion Irked him to no end, but for that thing to speak so freely to him was worse, in his logic, such a 'thing' needed to be erased.

Raising his hand, an absurd amount of mana burst forth from his body tainting the surroundings black, the spectacle of power aside, what was interesting was the - mana or whatever he released, trying to consume Nobe's mana more specifically, the silver strings.

The moment the two made contact, Con■□■■□'s mana seemed like it was trying to consume it as it was but instead, the string deconstructed itself and that was consumed by the mana.

The sight of that annoyed Con■□■■□, seemed like that was meant to succeed. Muttering to himself Con■□■■□ sneered "Is it these that are special or the concept behind their creation? But what concept? He did nothing special."

"That's because it's natural, we can't comprehend it yet." A mocking, beautiful voice reverberated throughout the corridor.

"Why take such a beautiful form in comparison to your true, hideous self? Is it to look human? Because it truly doesn't suit you." The voice continued from behind Con■□■■□. Unsurprised, Con■□■■□ replied as he turned to face the owner of such a mesmerizing voice.

"I claimed him first, leave now."

"You didn't claim him first, I did. All you did was attack him first." The owner of the voice slowly walked forward and with a single wave of her hand seemingly, all energy was dispersed. "No more of your miasma it's revolting."

"Astraea, he's mine leave him alone." Astraea replied weakly, it was faint but still present. And Astraea heard that weakness loud and clear.

"You can't fight me as you are now, you fixed yourself in my general location and assaulted someone who I had clearly claimed first, and you expect me to just leave you be? You've grown stupider."

Con■□■■□ tried to speak but before he could, a loud 'bang!' resounded. "Con■□■■□, you have overstayed your welcome and next time come yourself."

A giant bloody gaping hole found itself in Con■□■■□'s chest, gasping for air and placing his left hand where his chest was, he rose his right hand and tried to take a step towards Astraea but fell to his knees. Seemingly desperate, he was about to utter something, but a different sound resound this time, the sound of something fast whistling through air.

Before his mouth opened, the right side of his head blew up, a gory sight that seemed to not phase Astraea. "Leave, now." Astraea spoke calmly and Con■□■■□'s fell to the ground, looking at the body before her emotionlessly, Astraea turned around and walked away but Con■□■■□'s voice still resounded.

"Let's see how long he lives."
