Chapter 27 - Mother's Realm

A few minutes later, the previously quiet meeting room was enveloped in rapid fire squeaky noises going off as Ajuka tapped away at the tablet Koko had given them. The other three Satans could feel their eyes twitching as Ajuka continued tapping away as if he wasn't hearing anything, looking through the information.

"Hmm, I see." Ajuka said eventually as he put the tablet down again, his face was settled into a slight frown.

"What did you find Ajuka?" Sirzechs asked as his face turned serious again.

"They were trying to make artificial Super-class devils by forcefully awakening latent abilities and powers buried in their blood and then strengthening whatever they could extract to the surface." Ajuka hummed as he closed his eyes in thought, leaning back into his chair.

The meeting room descended into silence as the rest of the Satans had frowns on their faces.

"Was it successful?" Sirzechs asked eventually as his eyes narrowed. If they had managed to actually create Super-class devils the underworld would probably soon descend back into war since he didn't think the Old Satan Faction would be as quiet if they had such powerful beings amongst them. They did have Rizevim, however he never really cared about the situation in the underworld.

"Partially. Although it's possible they successfully managed to manifest a few traits, the recipients' body would probably instantly reject them making it incredibly unstable, that in combination with trying to strengthen it would make them mentally unresponsive or make their bodies explode." Ajuka said languidly.

"I see." Sirzechs said as he sighed, leaning back into his chair.

Serafall had a frown on her face as she spoke up.

"Is this enough to launch a more thorough investigation Sirzechs? The youkai faction really isn't happy and the hate is accumulating. If we really went to war, I'm not sure if the Shinto pantheon will get involved or not." Serafall sighed, as the Satan in charge of foreign affairs she felt that it fell onto her to make sure that the underworld in general wouldn't be the target of hostility from multiple directions.

"Yeah. I'll get started after the meeting." Sirzechs nodded.

Serafall hummed before she suddenly stood up and cheered herself up as she started walking towards the door, waving behind her.

"Good, I'm gonna go hug my Sona-tan see you later Sirzechs-chan, Ajuka-chan, Falbium-chan!"

The other three Satans continued nonchalantly already used to her antics.

A few weeks later, Koko stood on a cliff as she looked out over the massive biomes that laid before her from deserts, forests, oceans, tundras, mountains, grasslands, jungles and many more inbetween them with a satisfied expression on her face.

Koko had gotten an idea when she read through the research on artificial Super-class devils, why can't she try to make some too? Which lead to this. A massive separate dimension the size of another world made to promote growth in power through fights, she planned to make various entrances around the world to allow beasts, monsters and animals to enter this space and make them fight each other until they eventually reached Super-class.

When inside this space not only would fighting accelerate your growth in power, you would also heal quicker so you could get back up faster and thus fight even more.

However, she also had to make something else so that everyone that entered would know the rules. As for how she planned to make the entrances? She just made a bunch of spears that would multiply when thrown and open an entrance wherever it landed and threw them from her scrapyard wearing a blindfold while spinning around.

"Beo I'll leave this dimension to you, kay? I upgraded your sunglasses so you could manage it from your pedestal. Here are the rules, I'm gonna go take a nap." Koko said as she pressed a button on the side of it's glasses making a holographic panel appear in front of it's eyes before she patted Beo on the snout and vanished into one of the scrap piles.

"..." Beo properly read through the rules and felt it was only proper to add a few things before it zoned out, accessing the mental link it had with it's mother's newly made dimension through the sunglasses.

A mounstrous black bear lumbered through a forest stalking around it's territory, the bear's scar ridden body was bulging with muscles shifting as it moved. It's fierce eyes looked around for any contestors as small bouts of flames escaped the sides of it's jaw.

The bear's ear suddenly flicked as it instantly threw it's body to the left landing a dozen meters away. It shook it's head as the bear's piercing eyes locked onto it's previous position seeing a large crater where it had stood. It continued glaring as it's nose twitched, not finding any scents and slowly approached.

When it looked over the edge, it saw a large circle floating upright showing a flourishing grassland on the other side. It narrowed it's eyes as it cautiously moved closer, looking through to the other side did not give off any sense of danger, hesitating for a few seconds it made up it's mind and slowly stepped through.

As the bear appeared on the other side, it looked around and saw various other portals opening up with a plethora of different beasts gradually appearing.

It's eyes narrowed, glaring at the ones it felt were a bit too close before feeling a prick at the back of it's mind as a load of information converted to intent appeared a few seconds later.

[Mother's Realm]

Goal: Reach Super-class.

Method: Fight.

Rules: No stagnation. Listen to Mother.

Reward: Strength. Mother's attention.

Failure: Barred access to Mother's Realm.

The bear shook it's head as it's brain finished translating what it was sent and looked around seeing all of the other beasts doing the same thing. The area descended into silence for a few moments as glares were thrown around before a lime green lion pounced onto a dog-sized frog and the clearing turned into chaos.

---

The young girl with waist length black hair, slitted black eyes and pointed ears looked at the portal in front of her blankly as she tilted her head.
