Chapter 29 - It Starts?

Author Note: Just a heads up, I got a few comments which included words like 'digk', 'hen thai' and so on. Although I will see them, they won't show up in the comments because Webnovel doesn't allow it so if you want to use such words, get creative if you want others to see them.

P.S I'm not sure if this is true, but it's something I read somewhere and the comments I've seen doesn't show up in the comment section.

A few days later Okita was on the way to visit Koko again, it also seemed that some people have been making some moves lately. He had already reported the fallen angels' presence in the town to Sirzechs-sama who forwarded it to Serafall-sama so it will presumably reach Azazel in not too long.

Eventually reaching the gate Okita went inside and started walking in the direction of the outdoors area next to Beo's pedestal since that was usually where the holy grail would be.

Not too far away, he heard a familiar shout.

"Century Geezer!"

Okita looked up and saw Koko sitting in her usual seat, on top of Beo's head, waving towards him happily. His face gaining a slight smile he waved back as he looked at her... What was that on her back?

"Hmm."

Shrugging Okita just thought it was another new invention that would make the life of others more difficult and went to get another holy grail, sitting down in his usual seat as he popped the cap and took a sip. A light sigh of relaxation escaped him at the by now familiar taste.

He took another mouthful as he languidly looked up at Koko before his eyes shot wide open involuntarily doing a spit take as his eyes locked onto the figure clinging to her back, patting Koko's head and nuzzling her cheek into Koko's neck, eyes squinted in satisfaction.

"Koko..." Okita spoke up stiffly with a constipated expression on his face as his whole body locked up.

"Mm?" Koko looked at him in confusion seeing his awkward posture.

"Who is that?" Okita shakily raised a finger as he pointed at the being known as The Ouroboros Dragon, The Infinite Dragon God, The Ultimate Dragon and many, many more. One however, stood out amongst all the others, The Strongest Existence. Although the title was shared amongst three beings, one of them being right in front of him put him on edge like never before.

Koko turned her head around and looked at the Dragon God clinging to her back who looked back at her and then turned towards him again.

"Dunno. I found her in my new dimension and she won't let go, but it feels nice when she pats my head so I don't really care." Koko shrugged nonchalantly as Ophis continued patting her and nuzzling into her neck while letting out a satisfied humming noise.

Okita stood frozen for what felt like a few minutes before he faked a cough into his hands and spoke up.

"Oops I forgot I had something to do today Koko, I'll need to go for now but I'll visit again sometime this week." Okita looked down at his nonexistant watch as he stiffly started speed walking towards the gate.

"Kay, see ya later Century Geezer!"

He heard Koko shout from behind him and waved backwards, keeping his pace.

Arriving at the ORC a few minutes later he quickly entered one of the vacant rooms and set up some silencing spells before activating a communication spell, a small magic circle appearing beside his ear.

"Hmm, Okita? Has something else happened? Serafall should currently be in contact with the Grigori." Sirzechs slightly concerned voice was heard from the magic circle.

"No. Well, yes. Something did happen." Okita spoke hesitantly as he thought back to the Dragon God, he had a feeling she would be hovering around Koko alot which made him a bit nervous.

"Ah, thank you for the tea Grayfia. Sorry, what happened Okita?" Sirzechs asked, a slight clinking noise being heard as he picked up the tea cup and took a sip.

"It seems Ophis has taken a liking to Koko and is now clinging onto her." Okita said with an exasperated sigh as he sat down on one of the chairs in the room.

Okita heard Sirzechs spitting out the tea and start coughing.

"Ar-Are you sure, Okita?" Sirzechs alarmed voice rang out.

"I'm 90% sure. I didn't notice her until I saw her physically and trying to sense anything just ends up with nothing, like nothing is there." Okita said seriously.

Sirzechs went quiet for a moment thinking of the implications of one the top 3 strongest beings in the world getting involved in the supernatural more proactively.

"Was there any sense of hostility towards your presence?" Sirzechs asked eventually.

Okita hummed for a moment as he thought back to when he saw Ophis. Although he didn't really sense any hostility, he had a feeling that would quickly change if Koko didn't want him there, she seemed very protective of her for some reason.

"Not directly, though she seems very protective of Koko who I'm already familiar with, something she saw when Koko called out to me when I entered. I'm not sure of how she would react to someone else approaching." Okita concluded eventually.

The call descended into silence for a few minutes before Okita raised an eyebrow, thinking of something.

"Sirzechs-sama."

"Yes, Okita?"

"Prior sightings of Ophis has shown that she was quite apathetic about the general state of the world, right?"

"So it would seem, why?"

"Do you think Koko somehow awakened her maternal instincts? And if she did it could be very dangerous to approach since not only is Ophis extremely powerful, she is also a dragon who are known to be fiercely protective of their young."

"...Okita."

"Yes?"

"Try to keep anything dangerous away from Koko for the moment, I don't want an angry dragon mother to start rampaging if something happened much less Ophis, who knows how much destruction she will bring."

Okita's eyesbrow twitched slightly as he gained a strained expression. Keeping Koko away from danger? It would be easier to keep the 'danger' away from Koko.

"Got it. Oh yeah, it seems Rias has gotten herself a pawn."

As Ophis clung to the child... clung to 'her' child she felt that just leaving her scent wasn't enough and tilted her head in thought before getting an idea. Why doesn't she just bless her? Since she already possessed the concept of Limitless, a sister concept of Infinity, it should help her access it sooner than she would have by natural growth. Although it would be far from it's full power, it should grow with usage.

Tapping her cheek lightly from behind making her child look at her, she pointed a slightly glowing finger at her forehead and gently poked her making a dark purple aura flare up around her body for a few seconds before disappearing.

Koko blinked repeatedly and tilted her head before some information appeared in her head making her eyes widen and start to sparkle as her body started shaking from excitement as she bolted into one of the scrap piles towards her training room.

Ophis nodded in satisfaction seeing her reaction as a warm feeling spread inside of her, seeing her child so happy by something she did.
