Chapter 39 - Invitation

"I win!" Koko shouted with a smile as she threw her hands in the air standing amongst dozens of groaning dragonlings.

They wanted to complain, they really tried alright!? Not long after she arrived the child of Ophis decided to start a 'tournament' because she thought it'd be fun and no one had the guts to deny her whims with Ophis herself hovering behind her, just staring at them.

It started with her, then, opponent treating her child like she was made of glass, how many humans have been able to stand up to dragons in the past? Even with how fast more humans popped up all the time there still wasn't many that could.

Well that notion very quickly disappeared when that guy ended up eating dirt, a few teeth poorer before she jumped into another fight between three other dragonlings, swiftly putting them down as well.

The group battle sort of escalated from there as most of them got into it, meanwhile Ophis' child gradually worked her way through every fight in her area and then started chasing everyone still standing. They eventually got the memo and started teaming up against her which didn't really change anything the battle eventually ending with her as the winner, looking like she did before the fight even started.

"A-As expected of the child of Ophis I suppose." One of them muttered, his voice muffled with his face into the ground.

"I... I haven't lost yet! I was just warming up!" Another one insisted.

"..." The dragonlings all around him gave him a look of condescension before one of them spoke up.

"Stand up, then..."

"I uh... I'm just resting for a bit."

"..."

"Ow! Ow! Stop kicking me! Hey! Ahk-!"

Ophis completely ignored them as she floated down to Koko from where she had been watching and hugged around her neck nuzzling into her as she spoke.

"You have tapped into Nothingness."

"Huh?" Koko let out a noise of confusion as she looked at her over her shoulder, she was already used to her clinging onto her back so she didn't really react anymore.

"With my blessing awakening your dormant Limitlessness, it has provoked another change. It also brought forth your Nothingness."

"Ohhh~"

"..." Ophis waited for the inevitable.

"What's that mean?" Koko asked as she scratched her head.

Ophis just patted her head as she started to explain what it entailed and what it would eventually grow into.

---

A few days had passed since the Koko fought in the tournament, currently relaxing back at her scrapyard.

Apparently Bova had some friends in the dragon mountains who also decided to follow her after seeing her decimate everyone in the 'tournament'. However Koko didn't really know what to do with them at the moment and as she looked at their pleading expressions she eventually shrugged and decided to just chuck them into the dimension she made.

When she explained what it was and it's capabilities, Bova had quickly decided that he would become it's overseer and educate the beasts inside to be capable underlings to her. As Koko opened a portal into it, he quickly shouted his intentions and charged inside. A few minutes later though, his body was thrown back out again with his snout slightly bent to the side.

His large figure skipped on the ground a few times before eventually sliding on his face, coming to a stop next to Koko.

"D-Don't worry, Ane-san! I was just caught off guard that time." Bova reassured with a slightly muffled voice as he gave her a shaky thumbs up.

After punching his snout back into it's place he rallied his group and charged inside again as Koko closed the portal behind him. She then opened another portal and stepped inside emerging inside her scrapyard.

"Hi, Beo." Koko looked up and waved at Beo on top of it's pedestal beside her who let out a huff through it's nose in greeting before starting to walk down into her underground base with Ophis in her usual place on her back.

A few hours later a now sweaty and slightly dusty Koko emerged again before she walked over to Beo's pedestal and started fiddling with a small box she brought with her. Pressing a button to the side of it, it unravelled showing a slightly glowing orb stored inside which she picked up.

Her leg lit up with an electric purple aura as she gave the pedestal a kick making a hole open up and quickly climbed inside, the sounds of drilling ringing out a few seconds later.

Being done only a few minutes later she climed out again, gave it another kick to close the hole, and then sprinted down into the underground base again while Beo just shrugged mentally, it's mother was always up to something.

Not long after Beo looked down as it's pedestal started shining a bit before stopping, a few seconds later some sort of energy started appearing around it before being funneled into Beo who felt it's strength start growing at a steady pace while Koko quickly reappeared from one of the scrap piles with Ophis hovering after her.

"Beo, is your strength growing?" She asked as she jogged closer wiping herself with a rag.

Beo nodded as it looked towards her questioningly.

"Good. Since you're the administrator of the dimension I made, I thought I'd make it so that you could benefit aswell. The orb I put inside your pedestal is a receiver I made which is funneling a small percentage of the growth all the creatures inside it is accumulating, it's not much but since there is so many it's pretty noticeable! It should also affect the area below it as well." Koko explained simply making Beo hum slightly before she brought a hand to her mouth and whistled loudly.

A few moments later the ground started shaking slightly before a lump of earth started rising a few meters away, it gradually started taking the texture of sand, falling away and eventually revealing Wolf's head.

"Wolf do you feel something growing your strength when you're down there?" Koko asked as she put her hands on her hips as Wolf started nodding.

"Good, it's working properly then." Koko nodded to herself before she jumped on top of Beo's head and sat down as Wolf gradually sunk back into the ground. Ophis landed beside her and made Koko lean back into her body while she wrapped her arms around her.

"Mama?"

"Shh."

A few days later while Koko was sipping on another holy grail she got a call from Okita.

"Koko, would you be interested in spectating a Rating Game?"
