Waiver

_04_ (Lavalee's Point of View)

Last week, we invited our bodyguards to stay with us under the cover that it would be very much more favorable for them, and us.

"Damn it!" Jess cursed the moment she went out of her room

"What happened to you?" Chelsea asked her

"Some jerk told my cousin that I'm here. Damn it!" She cursed out loud

Well, our bodyguards aren't here yet. They left earlier to get their clothes and only one of them is left, the handsome gay; Jace Scott.

"Only one guy loves to pester you." Irene reminded her

"I'll punch that asshole's face when I see him." She swore and we couldn't help but tease her

"Can you?" I teased her and she looked at us before frowning and stomped her feet before going to the training room without refuting us

"Poor Bryle," Chelsea and Irene said in a chorus before laughing

Bryle loves to pester Jess and the latter is so short-tempered when it comes to him, not that I could blame her though.

My phone suddenly rang and I immediately answered it without bothering to look at the caller ID.

"Hello?" I asked as soon as I answered the call

[Seryphil, huh?] he asked

I held my breath.

Oh, shit. I didn't tell him.

"Sorry, I forgot to tell you," I said apologetically immediately

"Yappa. Tadashi, nanishiteruno, Hime?" he asked with authority

Oh well, it's not as if I could hide anything from him. Only Freia can do that if she wants to.

"I'm here at home, preparing for school," I said

[You promised Hime Freia that she can visit.] He said

So, that's how he found out. Freia must've asked his permission as he is the eldest in the family and the head of our family currently at nineteen.

"Hai, I did. Are you mad?" I asked carefully

[I allowed her, but only when she's 14.] He said

"Sore ni tsuite tashikadesu ka?" I asked surprised

[Hai. It's time she gets out anyway.] He said

"Lavalee we have to go," Jace said and that's when I noticed that they already left

Only Jace and I were left.

[Who's that?] Onii-sama asked and I felt my heartbeat double because of his tone

"Assigned to guard me, I have to go, see you," I said

[Oke, johimaeyo, hime.] He said

"Bye, aishiteru," I said and he hung up

I went out with Jace and we went to school, he drove carefully, if it was me I would've sped up.

"What took you so long?" Chelsea asked when we met in school

"Frost called," I answered

"He found out?" Ire asked

"Duh, as if Lavalee can hide anything from Frost," Jess said as we walked past students who are brawling in the hallway to our classroom

You can't expect this school to be normal.

This is a school for people in the underground society. An Academy built for Gangsters, Mafia and Yakuza Heirs, Assassins, and such.

"Hey! I was able to." I defended myself before we entered our classroom

"Really? Or Frost just allowed you to?" Irene teased making me frown

"I did, 4 years ago when he isn't handling anything yet." I said

"And when you snuck out with the five kids," Chelsea added

"See? I can," I said and they chuckled

Our teacher arrived and started distributing some waivers.

"You have to ask your parents to sign this, not a digital signature but a signature on this paper, not printed." The teacher said

I raised my hand and she called me.

"What if the parents are in the States? What will we do?" I asked, it's not for me, it's for my friends because they're already having a problem with it.

I sat down and Chelsea looked at me worried, worried that I am hurt again. I smiled and nodded at the three of them to show that I am alright, after all, it's been five years.

"Then we have to contact them and make sure that all of you are allowed in case you want to join. We can rely on your guardians because they might only be afraid of you." She replied and I sat down

"I know that majority of you are gangsters so we want you to inform your parents so that the school won't be liable for whatever happens to you." She added and I immediately understood

That was a law that Uncle Zaircon suggested because this is a school for underground students.

Back then, when we need signatures for something like this, we can just get it through a digital signature.

Eomma and Appa have their signatures ready to be digitally presented for educational purposes all we have to do is put the encryption code that only the five of us can access and every month it will be automatically erased at any device that is not registered to the family system.

"Even our sibling?" Chelsea asked while raising her hand

"Nope, we can't risk the credibility of this school. Call us untrusting to our dear students but because of your backgrounds we can't allow it." The teacher said

Jess was about to stand up but I signaled her to stop. I shook my head and I pointed at the logo in our uniforms and she understood.

I stared at the waiver in my hands and sighed.

Why must signing you be this complicated?

"What is Using Media to Enhance Teaching and Learning?" she started and wrote that on the board

"The term media was first used to describe newspapers more than two centuries ago. Today media has many different connotations. For instance, there are mass media, print media, visual media, and social media." She said and pictures that serve as examples flashed on the screen

"While media can take on many different forms, the purpose of all media is universally the same – media is a channel of communication. Media can be used in direct instruction, active learning teaching strategies, and student projects." She said and started jotting down some lectures and notes on the board

She pasted three visual aids on the board, and she told us to copy them because we will have a long quiz tomorrow.

She went out with her visual aids, and next would be our Science class.

I don't know which branch though because our schedules only indicate the room and class.

'RELATIONSHIP OF THE PERCEPTION TOWARDS MATHEMATICS'

That's what she wrote on the board and faced us.

What? I thought it is Science?

"Any ideas about how it is connected to our class?" she asked and Chelsea raised her hand

Looks like Chelsea knows what it is.

She called Chelsea and Irene and Jess shook their heads.

Here goes fascination.

"It is said that Mathematics is the gate and key of Science. According to the famous Philosopher Kant, "A Science is exact only in so far as it employs Mathematics" Mathematics is a universal tool, it answers many things that may require computation, comprehension, analysis, and logic and reasoning. Mathematics is intimately connected with everyday life and necessary for the successful conduct of affairs. It is an instrument of education found to conform to the needs of the human mind. Mathematics helps the child in developing analytical and reasoning skills with logical and structured thoughts, thus connecting it to Science." She said and fixed her eyeglasses.

"Very good." The teacher said and started teaching the connections.

Such as deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, Law of Detachment, and Law of Syllogism.

Syllogism is a formal argument in logic that is formed by two statements and a conclusion that must be true if the two statements are true.

We stood up and carried our bags and went to the Gym. We went to our lockers and placed our bags then changed into a pair of a white shirt with the academy's logo and red jogging pants.

"Welcome to Self Defense Class." Our instructor said once all of us are seated.

"I would like to see what you guys know and how much you've learned these past weeks. We'll have a pairing, boys and girls may get paired up with one another, no excuses. As for the transfers you are not excused but you will be paired up with your fellow transfer." He said and started pairing us up.

"Who isn't called?" our instructor asked so I raised my hand.

The three seemed to breathe a sigh of relief when they saw me raise my hand.

"Sorry, I'm late," Jace said when he arrived so the three were shaken

"Okay, Kan and Santiago you're partners." The instructor said and made us stand up

We are given two minutes to be on both sides, 2 minutes on defense, and two minutes on offense.

There are only 30 students here so only 15 pairs and two pairs at a time.

Chelsea and I are just watching while Jess and Irene are pointing out the wrong posture, mistakes, and such.

They agreed with that because they love seeing other people's mistakes so that they can correct them. They even started pointing out their bodyguards' mistakes and then enumerating what could happen.

They were reprimanded. Too noisy because.

"Han against Jang and Go against Delta," I smirked when I saw that Irene is on offense while Chelsea and Jess are on defense.

Irene almost threw Jess overhead while Chelsea can completely dodge every attack Delta Ethan is throwing at her.

"Change, Han and Go on offense, Jang and Delta on defense." The instructor said

Jess held Irene's hair and pulled her while turning at the same time as Irene is turning.

I don't think one of them will even win against the other.

Though, Jess is better at silent attacks since Irene is a bit noisy since she really loves dwelling with many opponents at the same time.
