Riot woke up in a daze, his vision somewhat blurry. "Where am I.." He mumbled. A figure got closer and closer to him before placing their hands on his face. Its presence felt warm and comforting.
"Don't worry my child, you'll be alright...It's not your time yet.." A feminine sounding voice spoke soft words in his ear. "Who are you..." The female began to fade as he reached out to touch them. He suddenly woke up, his breathing was heavy and sweat dripped down the side of his face.
"Where am I now..?" he said. Riot looked over to see Jackal wrapped up in bandages on a bed next to him. He tried sitting up but a sharp pain throbbed in his stomach. "Ouch." he held his gut as he looked around the room.
Footsteps began getting closer and closer to the room until a woman walked around the corner. "Oh good you're awake, take it easy you're heavily wounded and moving too much can undo the stitching." she said.
"Where am I? Wheres Dozer? Answer me!" Riot demanded. The woman gestured for him to calm down. "Well to start, you're in a sort of sanctuary, as for 'Dozer' he's alright as well he is currently roaming around the campus." she explained.
Riot let out a brief sigh before looking over at Jackal. "is he going to be alright?" he asked. The woman nodded and picked up a bottle. She took the lid off and poured out a few pills. She then grabbed a plastic cup filled with water and walked over to Riot.
"Take these, they are pain killers, it should help with the wound." She said. Riot hesitated for a moment before taking the pills and putting them in his mouth. He then chugs the water down in a few seconds.
"Thats refreshing..may I ask how we got here?" he asked with a curious expression. "Well actually believe it or not it was your friend Dozer who found us. We were just scouting the area and we found him dragging you both and begged us to help." she explained to him. His eyes widened. "If it weren't for him, we most likely would have die-"
"However, the deal was that if we help you guys, you all would have to work for us, basically as are own militia" she said, cutting Riot off before he could finish. "Wait what? I never-" She hushed him by placing her finger over his mouth.
"It's too late for that now, the deal was already made." she removed her finger and began to walk out of the room. "Wait! what is your name?" he asked. "Rose." she said softly with a smirk before leaving the room.
Riot shook his head and sighed. He got up off the bed and began walking around. It was only a few steps in before he collapsed to the ground. He held his stomach in pain. "Damn this hurts." Riot did his best to get up and hold himself up on a shelf so he wouldn't fall.
He looked over to see a curtain wrack sitting against the wall. He grabbed the wrack and used it as a makeshift crutch. Riot did his best to make his way out of the room and through the hallway. The sound of a few voices got closer and closer as he moved forward.
A group of women appeared around the corner. One of the women turned and looked at Riot. "What are you doing up?" she asked. "Oh, I'm feeling better now." he said. The woman shook her head and went back to talk to the other women.
Riot shook his head as well and exited the building. "Holy christ..." he said to himself. He looked around a bit, trying to get a good idea of where he's at. People in the distance were collecting apple off a row of apple trees. "They even got a farm here.." he said.
"Heh...maybe this isn't as bad as I thought.."
