Chapter 19: Do you want to be with me, as my Luna?

I close Violet's door and see Zane and Mia standing at the bottom of the stairs, clearly hearing me tell the women to stay upstairs. I slowly descend the stairs slowly and Kevin's eyes snap to mine.

"What are you doing here?!" He stands up, looking past me to find Violet.

"She won't be coming down, Kevin. You will never see her again, if you come near me or my family again…"

"You'll what?" Kevin chuckles at me. I push past Zane and Mia, who don't dare stop me.

"It will be the last thing you ever do. She told me you threatened her parents in order to make her marry you. She has bruises on her body because of you." I spit in his face.

"You bruised my daughter!" Steve stood behind me, "You better take the opportunity to leave with your life or stay and lose it." Steve says with a clenched fist.

"I am not leaving without Violet," he laughs at me.

Are you ready, Victor? I ask my wolf who has been using all of his power to keep himself calm.

For our Luna! Victor growls back and I finally feel the rage he was holding back. I watch Kevin back up as my eyes turn black and Victor comes forward and releases a growl.

I grab Kevin and bring him up to my face, "You picked wrong." I laugh and throw him across the living room. His body hits the corner of the couch and smashes into a lamp. We all stand there as he groans and slowly lifts himself up. I grab him by the neck and drag him through the kitchen, down to the basement and then out the door to the backyard. Zane and Steve followed me while I heard Mia go upstairs.

"This is your last chance to run or die!" Victor's voice echoes with mine and I start to worry that he is going to force a shift.

"What the fuck are you man?" Kevin asked, backing away.

"Leave!" I scream.

"Give me my wife." Kevin says and that's all it took for me to fall on my knees and feel Victor wanting to shift.

"Vince!" I hear Violet's voice.

"There you are." Kevin goes to walk towards her and she runs to me.

"Don't even think about it." Mia snaps at Kevin, trailing behind Violet.

As soon as I feel Violet grab me to see what's wrong, I feel the sparks and the pain dulls enough for me to talk.

"Go back inside baby." I pleaded with her.

"No! I will not leave you." she yells back, holding me as I grunt through the pain.

"Violet, let go of him." Kevin screams coming close to grab Violet.

"Don't you dare touch my mate!" I say through a painful growl as he pulls Violet towards him.

Before Zane and Mia could react, I held my hand up to stop them, and I got up as Victor pulled back.

Full force now Victor, I say to my wolf.

Just say the word! Victor growls back.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY MATE!" I growl louder than I ever have.

NOW!

I feel my body start to shift, the pain drops me to my knees again, but my mate is in trouble.

"Vince!" I hear Violet yell for me and that's all it took. I feel my bones morph and my bones crack as I shift into my wolf.

Kevin drops Violet's arms and she runs to her parents, "What are you!" Kevin questions in fear.

I growl, turning back to look at my mate staring at me in fear. Zane and Mia are just staring at me while Steve is watching with pride.

I turn back to Kevin, letting out a snarl, he starts to run, but it takes three steps before I tackle him. He is frozen in fear while I bare my teeth so close to his face. Zane is standing next to me and I know it's time to let him go; I nod at Zane and then look at Kevin. As I back off, Zane grabs Kevin, and I begin to shift back into my human form. I'm surprised, along with everyone else, when I shift back fully clothed.

I look at Kevin, "If you ever come near my family or my mate again, your next stop is in a casket. You will not talk to anyone about what you saw today, Do you understand me?" I tower over Kevin and he nods quickly.

"Leave!" Zane growls at him and he takes off without looking back.

I walk back to Violet, who is still stuck to her mother's side, I am worried that we scared her away.

"Hi…" I pause hoping to get a response, but she just stares at me.

Victor whined in my head, She doesn't want us, we scared her.

"Violet, can we talk for a minute?" I ask, looking around at everyone, so they give us a minute.

"Let's go make some tea." Mia suggested.

"I think I need a beer after today." Steve says and Zane agrees.

They all walk inside, leaving Violet and me in an awkward silence.

I motioned for her to take a seat, "Before you say anything, I just want you to know, I have been in love with you since the moment I opened my eyes. When I'm away from you, Victor and I are in physical pain. You consume my every thought, dream and wish. I know you probably have a lot of questions and I will answer with complete honesty." I finish and wait.

Violet POV

We've been sitting in silence for about five minutes. I was waiting for Vince to get upset, but he sat there and waited patiently. I don't even know what to say, he just turned into a damn wolf.

"When I was upstairs with my mom, she told me that you have a story to tell me and I want to know everything." I say, watching him relax in his chair.

He clears his throat and holds out his hand, "Hello, I am Alpha Vince Victor Carter of the Redmoon Pack," he shakes my hand.

"Hi, Alpha Vince, I am Violet Beck." I chuckle and he smiles at me.

"I come from a pack in the southern part of Montana. I was days away from taking over my pack from my father and was betrayed by my Beta, Griffin. He led a pack of rogues, wolves that don't live a pack, into my house. They killed my parents and nearly killed me. I know now that the only reason I survived was because of you…" His words shock me.

"Because of me? How? I was just your nurse." I say, but he shakes his head.

"No, you are more than just my nurse. You are my mate, my destined Luna and my forever love. The Moon Goddess pairs each wolf with a mate. They can be another wolf, a human or any other being. My wolf's name is Victor, he is dying to be with you.

"When I heard you were missing, he tried to force a shift, which is what was happening when you came running out. I passed out from the pain and it drained Vic's energy. Tonight was the first time I was able to shift in months, and it was because you were in trouble. You broke the unknown spell that was on me." He takes a breath after explaining.

"So, I have to tell you something," I stop to get his full attention.

"What?" His voice is quiet with fear.

"Ever since you woke up, every night has been filled with dreams of you calling me mate and then my father would storm into my room. I would be scared awake because I really don't want to lie to them or sneak behind their backs." I say.

"The dreams is another story I need to talk to you about, but I would like to wait until we can all sit together with your parents and Alpha Zane." He says.

"WAIT! Zane and Mia are wolves too?" I was shocked.

"Yes, love, there's a lot more to that. So, your parents know that I am a wolf, and they both approve of us. Do you want to be with me, as my Luna?" His question had my heart racing,

"I can hear your heart pounding out of your chest. Do you have any questions?" He asked, grabbing, and holding my hands.

"Woah, what is that?" I say, staring at my hands.

"The sparks of the mate bond." He kisses my hand and my whole body turns to fire. "What do you say, Violet? Be with me, I love you." He says with a plea in his voice.

"I don't need you…" he dropped my hands, "to plead with me, Vince. I already told you I will be with you. I love-" He stops my sentence with his lips.

The sparks trail down my spine as his hands roam my body. His lips move to my cheek, and then to my neck, "Okay, okay, I don't need a love bite for my parents to see," I laugh and pull away.

"Just wait, my mark is going to look beautiful on that neck." He says, through a smile.

"Mark?" I question him.

"It's how other wolves will know you are mine." He answers.

"Let's go inside." I say laughing at him, he smiles at my suggestion and takes my hand leading back into the house.
