Wu Long gave a confused expression, he couldn't understand this feeling. It stemmed from every part of his body, like an instinctual cry. It was low, and weak, but it send ripples through his heart. It was a known and absolute fact that Human deference stage 9 was the limit, yet he felt there was so much more.
He never felt this last time reaching this stage, back then he felt full and even struggled to maintain his power. Yet now he felt like a barren wasteland, starving for water.
Pondering upon the reason led him to several conclusions.
"It could be the technique I am using, it is indeed different, yet I doubt that considering while it may be powerful it isn't something out of place in the Immortal realm. Then my physique? Haha, no way, not only is my physique not complete, it is also the result of a cultivation technique, it would never allow me some unbelievable fate. Then what could it be? It may be my Heaven Plundering mantra, it is indeed incredibly powerful with my Dao insights from my last life having been used to create it... It is plausible and I feel innately it is similar, yet not the whole truth. Hm, could it be the bead? No I thoroughly obtained knowledge from the bead after refining it. The Inverse Heaven orb isn't capable enough to do such a thing."
Wu Long contemplated for a long time, yet suddenly his eyes began to shine.
His Dharma idol appeared in front of him.
It sat calmly in front of him.
Wu Long calmly observed it from head to toe.
His eyes began to tremble.
The Ninth leaf on the lotus seat, his Dharma idol sat on, it began to split. A tenth leaf was to form. Furthermore thin filaments of deep azure and crimson sparkled forth from the torn Leaf.
Wu Long touched the leaf, and a powerful burst of energy filled his body.
His muscles began to twist, as strength shot into them. His brain felt clear. Yet at the same time a colorless energy hidden in the bead left from his body, and reached the leaf.
The Leaf split fully, and the lotus platform began to spin.
Ten leaves!
Following this, his Dharma idol began to change.
From six arms, twelve suddenly sprouted. A red mark appeared on it's head, as well as on Wu Long's physical body, stretching from his forehead down to his eyes, and further like blood tears.
The golden color of the idol began to slowly become a vibrant viridian. It's eyes became black like the abyss, and it's hair became completely silver.
Wu Long's own body began to similarly feel the affects, his lifespan began to rise from 80 to 100, to 200. Furthermore the changes didn't stop there, twelve colorless chains could be faintly seen around the Dharma idol, and Wu Long's body. The one around the neck, snapped apart for both of them.
At that moment, Wu Long felt as if he could suddenly breathe, after being suffocated for a lifetime.
Thus the changes ended.
Although most of the effects were focused on the Dharma idol, one could just imagine when the Dharma Idol and Wu Long's body fused in Divinity crossing stage.
Wu Long was silent for a long while, deep in contemplation.
He felt an absurd amount of strength in his body, and his cultivation had surpassed the Ninth level, directly passing into the tenth.
Yet he felt he could go even further, but just how did he do such a mystical thing.
Wu Long quickly analyzed everything.
"Was it due to defying fate, or more precisely the will of Heaven, that caused this? Defying... No, more correctly Plundering it. I devoured the Inverse Heaven orb, I didn't reject the Heavens, not accept it, I devoured it. Perhaps that is why, I escaped Heavens machinations."
Firmly believing this to be the only explainable means to form his thoughts, he became unbelievably craved. He wanted to hurriedly rush out of here, steal all of Ye Zheng's opportunities and boons, and eventually kill him, devouring the Heavens son's luck and opportunity!
Wu Long laughed loudly, standing up and patting his body of dust.
He began to smirk, "Regardless, I should now leave. I have done everything needed to be done, I should hurry on my quest!"
He opened his mouth, and out came the Inverse Heaven orb.
Wu Long ordered it with his mind, and a huge suction force struck all the items in the room. Pulling them into the orb.
Considering the original nature of the orb was to be a Honeypot, it only made sense for it to also be a storage space. Otherwise the Heavens would truly be considered beggar like.
With not a single speck of dust remained Wu Long gazed upon the now empty room. It was gigantic, enough to fill a couple hills and rivers, and still have adequate room. In his past life he was unable to take so much, living a horrible life for two years here, later escaping during a sect battle.
He now looked at the difference in status, and couldn't help let out a boastful grunt.
Before his tail was tucked in his legs, as he fearfully departed from here, and now he would walk with his head held high.
Now, onto the Taiji sage inheritance ground!
Wu Long had decided to go there first considering Ye Zheng didn't match with the Ancient Nightmares inheritance, and even if the Heavens wanted to give it to him, he couldn't use it, or at least his progress would be slowed tremendously. Furthermore he wanted to test his theory, of if devouring Heavens will he could become much stronger.
He took a deep breath, his future awaited, and to be honest he was a bit apprehensive.
It was just too much, even with his years of experience. The world stood against him, no one could ever be trusted. Everything seemed so insurmountable, so cruel and so hard.
Even though he had recovered his memories he understood, while in this world a clear advantage would be deeply apparent, yet in the end this world was a single spark in the ten thousand stars that littered the Universe. He had never stepped upon the true stage, the realm of Gods and Demons. He was no different from his past self, no, perhaps the change truly lied in his temperament. Yet without anything behind him but an abyss, and ahead a mystery, yet uncovered, any man could clearly distinguish the way.
Wu Long tied his long white hair, he attached a head piece made of gold with beautiful engravings of Dragons and Phoenixes to his head. He took out a deep black robe, remarked with coiling gold lines across the sleeves and collar.
His eyes sharpened, as with each echoing step he stepped closer and closer to the future.
His mouth unconsciously began to rise, and a wicked smile carried him forth.
He placed his hands on the tall, cold doors. The strength hidden in his muscles exploded forth, shooting the doors forward.
Wind splashed in waves inside, and his robe fluttered. A brilliant light met his snow white face, and his red lips.
