Passing on fortune.

Wu Motian returned to his mountain, setting the youth to a spare room. He planned to investigate that Jade pendant after he woke up.

He went into secluded cultivation to stabilize his Dao heart, and cultivation. He then had to act fast, the curtain to his story was soon approaching.

...

Western Qing Province, a succession of prosperous fields, and winding hills, the mist settled low in the morning, and at night a deep frost succumbed the land into silence.

Currently between the Zhou county, and Chu county, a group of youths could be seen racing on horseback.

The youth at the head, with his heavy muscles seemed almost as if an ancient Titan, dug from the remains of an ancient era.

His eyes carried a deep intent that could shame even gods, and he looked behind bitterly with killing intent lacing his narrowing eyes.

"Bro Tang, are they still following us?"

The one he talked to, was a youth wearing a bamboo hat, his eyes turned slightly purple, as he looked behind.

Beneath the shadows, hidden from the moonlight, a group of figures stalked the night. Their sneaky, and beastial mounts sweeping the land beneath their paws, with each breath approaching like the whisk of death ready to stir them into an inescapable drought.

He hurriedly complained, "Bro Ye, they are still following us! Furthermore their Nightmare Panthers really are too much at night, our horses are here dying after a full day of running, meanwhile their mounts are absorbing the energy of the moon and speeding forth! Damn it, I'm so bitter and jealous, I'm sure if I die I'd turn into a ghost! Che! Such an ugly sight! A handsome youth such as myself forfeited into the solemn duty of a ghost."

A rather chubby youth laughed, "Bro Tang you are truly a strange fellow. Death is following us by the collar and here you are joking."

"Qing Zhan, you damn fellow! If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be in this mess! Let me stew in despair alone! I can't handle your idiocy!"

Tang replied.

"Tang Yuchen!"

The muscular youth scolded.

Tang Yuchen, bowed slightly, "Sorry bro."

Ye Zheng looked back, his eyes narrowing.

'3 Martial princes, and 2 Martial Kings. Damn it, those fellows are to brutal.'

Ye Zheng looked at the sky, and began to look at the stars.

His eyes sparkled, and he smiled, "Brothers don't worry! Heaven is with us today! I just divined the stars, and there should be help a little further. It must be the guards of the Qing clan, if I remember right I saw a few fellows from Little Qings clan a few days ago at the mercenary hall. They were definitely heading here for a powerful demon!"

As if taken by a second wind, the three youths hurriedly pressed their spurs against the horses.

Igniting every spare bit of fuel, they rushed forth, breaking through into a forest.

The Moonlight sparkled through the gaps in the tree tops, and lit a near celestial pathway.

They hurriedly found a group of five, three men and two women.

"You fellows! I have the Qing clan prince! There are assassins! Help!"

Ye Zheng loudly called.

He hurriedly leapt off the horse, and landed near the group along with Qing Zhan, and Tang Yuchen.

Ye Zheng hurriedly made a fighting stance, and stunned Qing clansmen, seeing Qing Zhan forgot other matters and took their own weapons out.

Qing Zhan laughed taking out two daggers, holding their red hilt in his chubby fists tightly.

"Bro Ye, if we survive this I swear to live life and death with you! Same for you Bro Tang! I'll welcome you to the clan, and you can enjoy all the resources I enjoy!"

...

Wu Motian slowly opened his eyes, a dull breath left his chest.

He looked a bit out of it, but soon his eyes showed clarity.

"My Dao heart has finally stabilized. Now there should be no issues for any future progress. Furthermore my cultivation has finally stabilized."

He walked out, but before his feet could touch the dirt, a figure came sweeping forth on his knees.

He bent his back to the ground, "Senior! This junior is named, Fang Li, thank you for saving my life! I am your humble servant!"

Wu Motian showed a smiling expression, he lifted the young man and said, "Don't do this. It ruins your image."

Fang Li was stunned for a moment, before hurriedly nodding, "I understand senior!"

Wu Motian shook his head, "While I did save you. I didn't do it for you, you don't have to kneel. If you must, tell me where you go that Jade amulet."

Fang Li was silent once he heard about the amulet. He was already feeling sour thinking Wu Motian had taken it, now he even without embarrassment asked it to his face. What a shame, yet he couldn't say anything in the end it was a treasure he owned for less than a day for his life. Although the treasure seemed extraordinary, what was his life? No beauty, no fortune was worth his life. What were those things without life?

He said softly, "Senior actually I had gotten that amulet at a ruin, a fair distance away from the sky eating crevice. There was a skeleton who had the amulet implanted into it's eye."

Wu Motian nodded, he asked, "Did anything happen to you since you got that treasure."

As if having found a shoulder to cry on, he nodded, "Yeah, it was really horrible senior. Ever since I got it I've been having... constant appointments with the toilet. I nearly died of dehydration, luckily I found a lake. Then that damn Imoogi, it nearly stole my future generations away from me. The Fang clan would have lost it's entire future. Damn thing, I hope it dies during it's Ascension!"

Wu Motian frowned as he heard the discussion, he hurriedly took Fang Li's hand and sent a trance of Mental energy inside.

Surprise filled his brows.

'Heavens! This fellow actually has an Innate Spirit body. Although sealed currently, if he were to awaken it his achievements would at least be a Lower Eternal. How rare to find such a fellow in the mortal realm, and no wonder he survived so long with that insidious energy. His body naturally filtered it out.'

Wu Motian sighed, he said, "You should thank you parents a thousand times. They've given birth to good child, had it been anyone else they would most probably become some monster."

Fang Li began to shiver, he asked in question, "Senior?"

Wu Motian said with a light smile, seeing such a peerless expert quiver at his words was quite a prideful act, just as he tested Erus.

"That amulet was cursed, it had some evil energy. Luckily you possess a Heaven defying body, else you would probably be without a soul now."

Fang Li immediately turned pale and fainted.

Wu Motian frowned, "What's wrong with this fellow. Fainting all the time. Well considering his temperament it isn't too surprising. For someone like him so desperate to live, even the breath of death can make him beg and kneel. He was ready to flock to lick my feet just in fear of me being some old crook. Sigh."

He lifted Fang Li, and tossed him again into his room.

He then closed the door and left.

He took out a red marble the size of a fist. This was the item he had stolen from Ye Zheng during their last fight.

It was the item that connected him to the Taiji sage's inheritance. All he had to do was break it and he'd be sent in.

Yet as he was thinking of this, he suddenly looked back at Fang Li.

"Perhaps this can be considered fate..."

Wu Motian returned to Fang Li's room. He stood over Fang Li, and opened his magical ability.

A blue thread spread out like a huge tree from Fang Li's head.

"Such friendship... What a simple minded fellow."

He moved his hand into the blue thread, and a few memories appeared in Wu Motian's head.

"Hm. So he's from a hermit clan. He's a kind fellow who can't stand injustice, and also he's obsessed with living forever. He'd do anything to live, and protect his life. Yet in front of innocent peoples suffering, he has deeper values and fights even with the blade of death hung around his neck. What a good child. Well then that settles it, he can have that fellows inheritance. I don't need it, considering I already have the technique. Only a few other things like array techniques, and alchemy techniques are left. Yet the gain of a subordinate... perhaps a friend who will become a lower eternal isn't the worst thing."
