We lost them

"We lost them!" said Devin reporting to Ethan who sat on an armchair. Ethan grabbed the earthenware container on the table and threw it to the wall and broke it into pieces. His whole body steamed with anger.

"Get out!" he roared. Devin immediately ran out of the room, in fear of what would happen next if he stayed there for a single minute. He had never seen his boss this angry. 'Something must have happened! But what could that be? Does it have to do with the woman?' he thought.

"What happened in there? And why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" asked Auntie Garcia who had come out running when she heard the noise from the study room.

"If you know what's good for you, don't go upstairs. The boss is extremely angry!" he replied, while panting heavily.

"But why? Did something happen at the office?" she asked, still unable to understand what was going on.
