Ethan stepped out of his room and headed downstairs. At the dining table, Scarlet casually sat at her usual spot at the table and enjoyed her breakfast without any care in the world, as if she hadn't sneaked into his room and tried to invade his privacy. Her back was facing him, so she didn't notice him walk down the stairs as he headed towards the door. Ethan didn't spare her a glance either, as he was in a hurry to go on a date with his love.
As soon as she heard the footsteps, Scarlet turned her whole body around so that she was now facing him, and she couldn't help the deep line that was starting to form on her face when her eyes met him.
"What's going on? Where are you going, dressed like this?" she asked while she continued to scrutinize his clothes from head to toe.
"isn't it obvious? I'm heading out, of course," he said drily.
"Dressed like this? And, you haven't had your breakfast yet?" she continued to bombard questions at him.
