What?

Scarlet walked inside the coffee shop. She only had her phone in her hands. She was quick to discover where Ray sat, so, she walked over to him. She pulled out a chair that was opposite, from where he sat. Once she was comfortable in her seat, Scarlet placed her phone on top of the table and her hands followed suit and they were intertwined on top of the table. Then, her eyes met Ray's.

"Scarlet, it's good that you came. I have something important to tell-"

"Ray, listen. I know that you've feelings towards me. However, I cannot reciprocate what you feel for me. I'm sorry," Scarlet said in a low and soft voice, as she cut him off so suddenly. She thought he asked her to come over because he wanted to confess his feelings for her! So, she wanted to make things clear to him that she would never see him more than a friend.

Ray was speechless.
