 Alexa Morgan curled herself into a ball at the corner of her room. They tied her foot to her bed with a long chain. Bruises cover her whole body, and every time she moves, she feels the pain.
She couldn’t stop crying as she remembered what had happened earlier. Her Dad got mad when he found out she defied his instructions of staying in her room. All she did was pick flowers from the garden, but he still found fault in that. He slapped her so hard her lips had split.
Months later, after thinking her father had finally felt love for her, he turns around again and sells her to the person he owes the most, Max Willies. Will she suffer in his hands or will someone else come and save her?

Rumors inside the ball were spreading as the bidding continued. 


“18 million,” Dr. Stephen yelled. ‘This will be my last bid. I don’t have any more to give if he raises the price,’ he thought. 


“30 million,” Ethan said with a smirk. ‘You’ll probably go bankrupt if you make another bid.’ He thought as he glared at Stephen, who was now clenching his fist. 


‘Dammit! I can’t go over 30 million. What will I do?’ He thought as Athena held his hand and caressed it slowly, reassuring him that it was alright. 


“Don’t worry about it. Everything’s going to be fine. At least you helped drive up the price of the jewelry and the chosen charity will receive more than half of the proceeds. It can really help the less fortunate.” Athena smiled at Stephen which had Ethan clenching his jaw. 


“Anyone higher than 30 million? Going once… going twice… going thrice… Sold to Mr. Ethan Reed. Please come up to the stage and announce to everyone the name of the charity the proceeds will go to?”
