Athena suddenly woke up when she heard a noise coming from outside of their room. She couldn’t stand immediately, as her belly had gotten bigger and heavier. Her eyes widened as she heard the sound of a gunshot.
“Ethan,” she muttered, and instinctively pulled out the gun she hid in the drawer of their bedside table. Athena slowly walked behind the door of their room while holding her belly, which was round as a watermelon at seven months.
‘I will do everything I can to protect you, baby. Please stay safe. Mommy needs to do something important.’ Athena rubbed her belly. She walked to the other side of the door and slowly opened it so she could take a quick peek to see what was happening outside. When she noticed no one was around, she opened the door wide and stepped out of the room.
Athena tied her robe tighter while holding a gun in one hand.
“Ethan? Rhyan? Maxime?” She called out, but no one answered, which made her frown.
