It was already past ten almost close to midnight. Every child was put to sleep in their respective rooms. It was their yearly camping program and every teenager had to attend it.
And as usual it was located in the woods. Games and other activities were more fun when done in the woods.
Under the light sheet, Scarlett had her torch on as she read her favorite book again. It was a book about love, a romantic book.
The girl she shared the bunk bed with was already deep in sleep and so were the other girls on the other two bunk beds facing theirs.
Scarlett read until past twelve deep into the night. She was so preoccupied with the novel that she missed hearing a scream at the far distance.
Her black eyes read every line, she made sure she didn't miss a word or even a line.
One getting to the most interesting part of the novel, their cabin door was being banged loudly. So loud it nearly pulled the door down.
